Didn't know that...maybe that would be ok if it's just unmounting the engine and swapping out a part. Anyone know exactly how you replace a flywheel?

Now if it weren't for this damn CVT...

This is pure speculation now..but I will think you would have to drop the engine to get to the transmission unbolt the transmission then open up the transmission and beyond that im not sure ive never worked with a MT before i dont know the exact specs but thats a general idea you will be looking about a 8hr job roughly

The flywheel is ground zero where the engine and the transmission connect. you dont need to open up either the transmission or the engine. you would need to seperate them, whether that be dropping the engine or the transmission im not exactly sure the procedure, but once they are seperated i believe its right on the crankshaft.

this isnt really a DIY unless your pretty much a certified mechanic...lol

And if you have a CVT this isnt a mod for you.... Sorry, MT's Only

I would like to see a light weight flywheel for the 2.5.

This can be a DIY if you are mechanically incline and have the right set of tools.

The best way to do this job it so jack up the front of the car as high as you can and the Rear then have another floor jack or jack stand holding the transmission case, so that you can unbolt the transmission from the engine.

Now the next thing you will do is have a roller or whatever so you roll the transmission out from under the car as you lower the floor jack on the transmission and now you have access to the clutch and flywheel.

Fidanza has pretty much already agreed as long as they can get a stock sample and a minimum of 10 orders so we only need 3 more for the 2.5 and a way to get them a stock flywheel.

No.. He said he couldn't give me an estimate without seeing a stock flywheel, he did however say that they would offer an introductory price for a GB
