My wife and I have been enjoying our 94 Q45t immensely... so many places to drive to :-)

We have a couple of nit-picky q's though:

1. Is there any way to re-program the headlights so they turn off once the the car is locked and the alarm is "armed"? We are used to other cars whose lights turn off when the key is removed or alarm is turned on.

2. Auto-door locking... Again other cars we have had locked the doors automatically once they got past x mph in Drive.

3. Rear view mirror operates on a ball/socket which seems a bit loose... on hot days this means the mirror sags and must be repositioned constantly. Anyone else have any luck injecting something into the that joint to get it to stay better? Replacement cost is a little crazy.

1. Never thought about that but that shouldnt be too hard... you could just wire the headlights in with something like the stereo turn on or something with a relay..... Something that comes on with the ignition.... then have the switch in line so you could still turn them off if you wanted..... Ive grown to prefer switching it on and off... Like you im used to driving cars that would have the lights come on automatically and youd never have to worry about it... However they would sometimes come on when it wasnt necessary... Either way, your going to have to have some electrical knowledge or know someone who will because it just simply wouldnt be worth it to it at a shop......

2. My car locks itself at random, i dont want another reason for it to lock!!! No way to make that easy, again with enough electrical knowledge you could wire the circuit to the inhibitor switch so that when you hit drive, it locks it and then unlocks when its in park... Again a LOT of electrical knowledge would need to be done.. The FSM doesnt state (at least i ahvent foudn it yet, sitll looking) if the circuit is normally open or closed, wouldnt make much difference. Mgiht be tough integrating it with the LAN becaues that is setup to reduce the amount of wires needed..

3. Id try and take the mirror out and see if you could readjust it, like tighten things up... Ive never heard of that problem.

Thanks, I have been looking over the electrical schematics and as a software developer I am looking for a soft way out (vs. rewire). I noticed that there are some PC based programs that perform consult like functions via the interface connector, but I can't find any that will run on a Q45 (most seem geared to a 300z)....

Definitely something to play with
