Lets play what's this in my oil pan? The winner gets 50 kudos and peer admiration.

there are two things of note a bunch of copper that looks like anti-seize and then 4 pieces of larger metal chunks any ideas?

I once opened a KAe and found the timing set in the pan, but this looks nothing like it.

I want to say teeth off a sprocket.

Also when I think metal dust in oil I think destroyed crank bearings.

yeah I thought about teeth but it looks more like thin metal bent over a few times like the crank chewed it up. I know you can't really tell from the picture. I don't think the metal dust is bearing its definitely copper. There's no copper in bearings. I don't know it any of the timing chain / components have copper in them? lots of time copper (or brass) is used for self lubricating bushings (with little circles of graphite in them). Anything like that in a motor? Copper is also used as a base metal in electroplating. Any chrome or plated metals in a motor? I ask cuz I've never tore one down. My experience with mechanics is all based on injection molding machines and peripherals associated with the plastic industry.
