this was an idea of mine in the pass and im talking like 2 yrs ago. i had the s13 and i was just going for that "show minus go" theme (no money = mo problems) so i was just going to transform my s13 into a lil s15 with s15 heads and tails along wit the jspec.com s13 widbody kit. looking back at it now i see that i would of had a lil S15 wit a SOCH engine still running 17's (auto) LOL thank god for this sight! *sigh*

Look here peeps, Altezzas are no longer unique... or cool. What would be cool is clean jdm parts on your 240. Why the hell would you put new lights on a car whose lights work just fine? Will this make you go faster? Will it make your car corner better? Do you really think clear taillights will get the girlies? Why do you even drive if you'd rather spend dollars on lights and not drivetrain or suspension. Nissan 240 is a driver's car.... please treat it as such.

Well I posted this question on another board and it was over looked so ill ask it here.

I know that most of you HATE altezzas.I agree that in most cases they dont look good on most cars.I have a 2k2 Altima 3.5se.Im sure you have all seen the factory tail light on the new Altimas so do you think that they are RICE also?I like the looks of them,they are well made and dont come off looking like a cheep "RICE" upgrade IMO.Just wanted to see what you all thought...?

no, before I even got into NIssan stuff I thought they were hot stuff. I think they look better than actual toyota altezza tails and they are by no way a copy. They don't look out of place and fit well with the rest of the car.

I personaly dont like the look of those tails, or that altima (now the maxima is a different story). Tho i dont like them, the fit the car, they arent cheap or poorly made, and they are what the designer of the car wanted on the car. Now if you were to buy one of that cars competetors, such as a basemodel BMW or Mercedies and put clear tails on it....

Im gonna agree. the pre-installed rice on the altimas is acutually pretty cool. they are very well done. and the new Maxima back ends, mmmmmhmmm, very nice. i like the black SE lights.

its not that i think it looks bad (witch ir usualy does) its the actioin. if ur car comes with them i say owell but to add them than ur shoing what takes priorty handline performance or looks and n e 1 who would rather have there car look good than performe isnt an enthusist at all like shift knobs and stickers . but to take a car built to perform on the road and add lights to it kinda shows ur missing the point and that u will never be any thing but stuck in my rearview.... -- MoNK

it's one thing to come stock on a car (i.e. Altima, IS300, Maxima) it's another thing to put it on a car that they have no business being there(i.e. 240SX)

plus I think the Altima and Maxima's tails look sweet

ok, well what about the people in car shows who spend countless hours and money tryin to get their car looking good....not everyone is worried about having their cars fast and racing, why would someone who has no interest or need in speed and racing want their car to be fast....just b/c someone is not really into racing and wants their car to look good(which just about everyone does) doesnt exclude them from being a car enthusiast

i personaly dont like the altezzas but just b/c you dont like them it doesnt make it rice, sum(actualy alot) people just make them look bad , im tryin to veiw this from both point of views < .02

Altexxas aren't rice its just why they are there

Having them to look "fast"

Having them to improve on a bland exterior

I don't think that looking bad means that something is rice, I do think that rice looks bad

I hope the warehouse burns. I wish the world would just forget about aftermarket tail lenses, and maybe create, build, and sell something that's actually worth a ****. Factory lenses work fine. Shiney draws attention. Attention draws bad attention. Bad attention means thieves. Thieves means no more car, or no more radio. Women dont care about your homosexual lifestyle or your seriously queer clear tails. Only ricers will notice you. People will take your picture and post it on anti-rice.com. You will be a chump. You will still have no game, no class, no horsepower, but at least you'll be king cool in the APC crowd. Don't be idiots, people. Altezzas have thier place, and it ain't on 240s.

PS: if i see you rollin with altezzas i'm either gonna point and laugh or i'm gonna roll up with my trust baseball bat and show you what kind of attention your clear (or is it "queer") lenses bring. good luck to all you out there. I hope for your sake that you are as disgusted as i am with rip off crap like clear tails. Have some self-respect, people.

I found a nice alternative to the type-x tailights, since they're so friggin expensive. Clearcornerlights.com does a conversion that turns the amber section of 240sx tailights to a whiter clear color. I think it looks pretty sick and they actually use the stock headlights, you just send em in and they convert them. Heck, you could probably do it yourself with some silicone, a screwdriver and a razor blade. It ain't so friggin expensive and it aint altezza, and most importantly it ain't made by APC

And to the guy a cpl pages back. 240's around here are not rare.... I saw 6 on tuesday, yeah 6 a burg s13 fb, blue s13 coupe, red s13 vert, black pignose s13 coupe, green s13 coupe, and a black 95 s14 le (possible ex gf's) within a span of 18 miles... Thats one every 3 miles hehe And not counting the s14 and s13 (gf) in the driveway or my friends s14 at work along the way, or the s14 at my brothers school I dropped him off at... If I did it would be 10 hehe in 18 miles.

Actally, from hat i have heard, they are just refurbished lighs and they have made them clear at the bottom, you could also use pait thinner and do it your self. BTW, it is expensive to go through clearcorners.com, they are like 500 and up. I would just get some kouki tails for that, even if it is a little more expensive.
