Been working on this for quite a while but have come up short on thigs to do in In the past couple of weeks, so I have replaced every bolt I could with stainless HEX bolts, I even found some to replace the studs on the water pump pulley (kind of an OCD thing).

Replaced the front oil return with a -12 fitting (it is a 3/4NPT thread for those of you who might want to know), I intend to Y my oil returns and run them both into this fitting.

I disassembled and painted my Alternator (again the OCD thing, I just couldn't stand it not matching and it drove me nuts)

The valve covers and throttles got finished up at the paint shop (Thomas Caudle here on Okinawa, he did the pain exactly as I requested and it was very reasonably priced). It is a silver base with candy blue flames. Although you cannot see it unless you look at it in the right angle there is a purple hue blended into the flames that you cannot see unless you are at the exact angle needed. very cool paint job in my opinion

Put the turbine kit and intake manifold on

Plugged off the Heater Core Outlet on the rear of the block (Again 3/4 NPT)

I will have to thread the one for the port on the thermostat housing (It will be about 1/2NPT)

For the most part I just puttered around looking for **** to do. The pics should speak for the results. Needless to say, I am pretty Happy with it.

I will get the manifolds coated when I get back from Iraq, I will also do the wastegates (cast iron parts) and the turbine housings, and in my obsessive compulsive tyraid I will probably waste my time and polish the aluminum part of the waste gates.

I have been posting on this forum in the past so figured I would post the finished product in here. The motor is fully built from the bottom up so it will do more than just look pretty as well.

I'm guessing by the "25" in his name, and the 2500 on the valley cover, and the bump on the intake cam side of the timing cover... That's an RB25.

but doesnt it have the straight valve covers with no hump, and the intake manifold with 5 and 6 closer?

or is it a NA rb25.

Good eyes!

Those do look like 20 valve covers, and the lower intake runners look like they are from a 20.

but, search his previous posts. He says he has a 25..zerothread?id=173529

Oh boy.. You guys don't think he got scammed into paying rb25 $$$ for a Rb20 do you.. read this post..
IceSkyline25 wrote:I have an S13 with an RB25.. i just bought the car with the swap already done so i am having to fix problems here and there.. I got the car running but for some reason it feels very sluggish... i know for a fact an RB25 is supposed to pull harder then this.. I have checked for boost leaks and i didnt find ANY.. my BOV isnt leaking either.. The turbo has no shaft play in it whatsoever and it sounds like it is boosting.. My turbo bolts backed off before but now i have them on tight and they arent going anywhere.. It doesnt really sound like there is an exhaust leak.. Ive been trying to also figure out the vacuum diagram but i have a custom intake manifold so its hard getting some accurate diagrams.. also just changed the plugs.. plus i am running 40 PSi of fuel pressure.. i have a cheap **** FAZE boost gauge and it sputters when i hit full boost.. is that because its a peice of **** or because its some type of problem? let me know what you guys think what my problem may be.. i have an event on the 21st that i would love to rip at.. also you guys have any pics of PS on an S13 with an RB25?

he could try and stick a greddy intake manifold on there and that will answer the question 20 or 25

oooh oooh I know.. Pick me!!!!

nah... I'll let him answer himself.

That's gonna be a slow car... That's why he's got the two hook on the front bumper.. He can hook up to my Rb20 and I'll pull him down the track.

On that RB25 vs. RB20 issue... Easier to pull the timing cover off and see if the intake cam has a lobe for um... "vtec"... he he.

haha that car is going to be pimp. The only reason i know what chasis it is, is because i've been dead set on that swap for several months now. i'm happy to see that there might be some help out there when i get around to doing my install (prolly 2020 but who cares!). looks great man!
