Yet the indicator light on the seat heater switch goes off when the car is turned off, and the seat cools down. So it doesn't appear that the heaters are remaining on after the ignition is turned off. Or... are they, for a period of time? If so, why? Seems to me, when the ignition goes off, the seat heater should go off at the same time.
Anyone know the answer?
The Rogue is programmed to turn off any accessory that is inadvertantly left on after the ignition is turned off. It will turn off an overhead light, or even the headlights in five minutes.
The seats go off with the ignition. I checked the manual to see your reference to a slow drain and it appears to be a misunderstanding.
The battery could run down if theseat heater is operated while theengine is not running.
That does not say they will be running with the ignition off. Just do not run them when you are not running the engine. (accessory mode)
My wife has left a switch in the on position overnight without consequence.
