let's bring back the nonsense.

so last week i got to try black bear for the first time. 2 hour marinade in olive oil, malt vinegar, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, dash of hot sauce. i pulled it out the marinade and plugged it with a few garlic cloves and rosemary sprigs before tossing it on the grill. PHENOMENAL. wasn't too gamey or greasy. very tender, and didn't have an overwhelming taste of marinade. 10/10 would try again.

last night, i did a similar marinade with a piece of venison back strap (swap the malt vinegar for balsamic). while that sat in the ziplock, i seared another piece seasoned only with salt an pepper for use in a venison wellington (sew fauncey). cooked the marinated piece in the same pan, then used the juices left, along with some butter, white wine, rosemary, and thyme to make a pan sauce. let that reduce and poured over the wellington. oh, boy, it was next level kind of delicious. 100/10 would try again.

i have to get my hands on more game. i must feed the hunger.

A buddy of mine belongs to a hunting club of sorts. Another member gave him the meat and he passed it along to me. I'm seriously already jonesing for more of anything really. I want to get my hands on gator and frog legs. And do a proper crawfish boil.

It really was awesome. I like that kind of s***, but I'm not into hunting myself.

Right? So many people seemed to have just fallen off the face of this thread and the planet. Razi, Mellow, Official NICO Post Whore, Becky, Dattebayo, Otto, Gir, and a slew of other names I can't remember anymore. Where they all at?
Lives got busy or they moved on. I don't get on NICO much and rarely do anything web-related whereas 5+ years ago I would spend most of my free time doing stuff. I do miss the old days.

The old days were pretty fun. Lots of s*** and killed time on NICO.

I just remembered how I earned my custom title years back. I created a FAQ for car audio that turned into a sticky. It was then transferred to a consolidated thread, where the links actually ended up being deleted entirely. One of you mods might want to either delete the thread, or fix it with links.

I became a contractor and I have no time for car stuff anymore. :( I have a 0420 code showing, i think my truck's been smoking the pot.

LOL, probably a downstream O2 sensor that's been lighting up my display for about 3 months now. And, it's cold out now, so I probably will have to get a shop to do it. I hate adulting sometimes...

I have been just too friggen busy! I work for a small ISP doing all their hookups and conferences in hotels and got a security camera install gig on the side.

At home, doing absolutely nothing for a change is nice, no work from 12/20-1/3! :)

It's good to have work though. Times like your break time means you finally have time to use money that you didn't know you had.

Idk, if ya’lol remember me. But I have missed nico. Got into pro brewing then stopped that to do electrical work. Now I am almost to the point where I can work on cars again.

I built my rb20 hatch, traded if for an s14, and just traded that for a 1980 corolla wagon. Once I get that dailyable then I can build my 89coupe.

If nico still does Carlisle, pa I might have to come out next year.

We had goals, man. We weren't doing it right if we weren't breaking SOMETHING on the new software. It was basically like built in testers that you didn't have to pay. If there was an exploit, we'd find it, haha.

Remember when this thread was bewbs and other shenanigans. Oh times have changed. New jobs have put me mostly out doing things instead of sitting infront of a computer for hours on end, also the forum design change pissed me off to the point I stopped reading stuff.

We had a lot of ambitions, that's for sure. The loss of vBulletin was a major blow.

Yeah, the forum is like slogging through cold molasses if you surf it on mobile.

I started a while ago, but we went from 6,700sq.ft. to over 30,000 before I left. That was O'Connor Brewing Co. in Norfolk,Va. Famous now for thier IPA El Guapo. But the real secret is how good thier dry irish stout is.

Left to do electrical, so now we are the approved electrician for the brewing company.

I also now bartend on sundays at Rip Rap Brewing in Norfolk. Small spot like the original OBC. I may brew in the future but I have no time atm.

I picked up this te72 wagon, trying get it driving great. after reading about how the s13 gas tank fits with almost no mods and the front subframe mounts with out much alteration, this is about to become a SE72 wagon. So I am sourcing what I need now, got a rear subframe last night, waiting for a call back for the front. but after that, swap autos and put a new torque converter in the coupe and daily that and make this thing set up for resto and subrame swap.

:spitout: :rotfl :rotflmao You're cracking me up! Maybe I should be watching my back when I go to Laguna Seca?

Hey Ace, What engine is getting machined?

My latest learned'd was removing a screw and installing a plug in my wife's tire. It really is as easy as it looks!
