That is pretty neat looking. Big, hefty grip. Any modification needed?

Did you ever go through that guys parts bins?

Yeah it's pretty comfortable when rowing the gears in comparison to the tiny OEM one.

A little modification was needed, but something anyone could easily do. I cut the clip off of the bottom flush and then filled it up with plastic weld compound. Pressed it down over the threads and got in place where I liked it. Let it sit for an hour and it's nice and secure. I think it's still easily removable though, which is a plus. Unfortunately the Ford threads in it were bigger than the ones on it.

No not yet. I haven't been able to arrange another time to go over there and I haven't been in that big of a rush. I'm not in dire need of 1.6L engine parts at the moment and I need to put those funds elsewhere, like the turbo fund :naughty:

@#$%

Whoever designed the LS8's enginebay arrangement should be hanged. It makes the Q45/VH45 enginebay look roomy.

I had intended to replace my spark plugs today. I had to go buy a tiny 7mm box wrench to get two of the six coil cover bolts off. Then when I got the bolts off...I couldn't get the COVER off. The coil cover is glued in place with RTV from the last times I and Ford dealers have opened it. I'll crack the composite before I break the RTV lose. :tisk:

It sucks having no car people in the area. An extra pair of hands would probably do the trick.

Still, the 2nd gen is a lot better laid out than the 1st gen. 1st gens had ridiculous intake plumbing running all over the damn place:

Mornin' fellas.

Got my last ski day of the season in- big, soft spring bumps. No chicks in bikini tops for spring skiing though. I guess that only happens in California.

Just about Carlisle time. The Miata is getting a fresh alignment on Wednesday, going for zero toe this time with ballast in the front seat so it rides correctly. Looking forwards to the weekend!

Yessir, somewhere around Portsmouth. No time table, but it'll happen either this winter or a little after the new year. Crappy time to move, but you do what you have to do.

Agree.

4 words: Team O'Neil Rally School (upstate in the white mt's.)

4 more words: New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Yeah, it's a NASCRAP oval, but it also contains one of the more technical road courses in the east. Ideal Miata track. :dblthumb:

^ Guess its time I get a roll bar. Stupid other more important life things!

Does the rally school provide the cars? A co worker did something like that in WA state. He said it was incredible.

Yes they do. They also host winter driving schools for clubs like Audi (for those that want to drive their own cars)

DID YOU SEE THE SCARS?!!??!

Really though, when I lived in FL we used to feed them the green leaf lettuce and saw a lot of poor manatee backs. It was really unfortunate that they got hit all the time.
