Nice KA-T setup. I built a basic KA-T setup for a local kid. SSAC + SR T25 + Enthalpy (also had FMIC, injectors, fuel pump, CAI and 3" turbo back). Ran really well. Lots of torque. Stupid kid ran out of money and filled the tank with 87 octane and then went out and beat on it. Bent 2 of the rods in no time. Dumbass.

So...

Indy and Monaco were both fantastic races. There was more passing in the first 20 laps at Indiannapolis than most entire Indy races! A couple of good spin recoveries, too. Everyone's whining about the win under yellow, but I'd say it's Tony Kanaan of ALL people who has the most justification for whining...who'd rather win with locked field when you can win when RACING? I don't hear Tony bitching, so everyone else needs to STFU. Also this douche has no business talking about auto racing.

And Monaco was nuts. I don't know where Rosberg was getting his acceleration from, but it was clearly a source every other driver and car lacked. His lead went from ridiculous to downright nonsense.
That damn chicane led to some of the most interesting F1 driving I've seen in a while, too. More than a few front wings were run over due to the narrow course and tires actually lasted long enough to be of use. All around good race.

Yup. I talk to him every once and a while and he hasn't done anything with the engine. He's tracked it a few times too so I guess it's not just a hardparker either.

...In other news, I got an internship today. Woot! :mike

Yeah, I got it out of nowhere. I just sent my resume and had an interview with him at his house this evening. Pretty much hired me on the spot. His house was crazy though. He lives down the street from the dude who owns all the Danny's Family car washes.

Funny thing is, I had pretty much given up on summer internships. I just filled out paperwork at a restaurant right after and start.....started tomorrow.

Looks like I'm working full time starting at 7am. Bye bye summer! hahaha.

Bex, how's the ever-growing fleet of cars doing?

I've always wanted to attend one of those, but you just miss so much of the race. Maybe I'm just totally anti social, but I just prefer sporting events of all types right on my big screen. DVR for piss/beer breaks is hard to beat ;)

Hows life out in, where are ya Chris? Utah? *Edit* Idaho! Man, I'm hard pressed to even remember where that is on the map.

Especially races like Indy and Monaco where you can't see the whole track. I love cars as much as the next guy, and usually at Indy there's 2 weather conditions: Raining, or hotter than the sun. This year might have been pretty manageable. I am glad I went to Indy once, but I think if I was going to go again I'd go to the infield and party with the natives.

Agree. I could see going once for the atmosphere/partying, but I'd much prefer to do the driving rather than pay to watch someone else have fun doing it.

Dude you're close enough to Indy, make the trip up there. It's worth it to do it once. We sat right at the corner of turn 4, so you could see part the way down the back stretch, turn 3 and turn 4, and most the front stretch. Honestly I think turn 1 would be the best because you see them coming toward you at full speed.. :)

Ray...... not too bad, I've talked to a few.. I think I've been averaging a response about 1/20 emails which I don't think is too bad, actually got a response from someone last night who I didn't think would respond, so that was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I'm reasonably satisfied considering I've been at it for about a week.

That's a pretty damned good response rate.
Did you ever see the episode of King of the Hill where Boomhauer's method of getting women to sleep with him was walking around the department store being all sleazy until he got a 'yes?' He was supposed to show Bobby how to get a girl since he is the supposed 'ladies man' in the show, and though it isn't the best way to ask to getchya some, he was able to prove that its simply a numbers game until someone talks back.

I don't know where it is, either. All I know is 2 hours and 30 minutes from my parents' place on I-15 is my exit!

It's okay up here. I like it, but all I do is work and sleep, and the one friend I had up here had to move back home because the school screwed her over...so I'm kinda bored out of my mind. BUT...once the weather warms up...college town...fantastic "scenery". I just need it to get warmer than 50 degrees and I'll be out on my bike (or the car) enjoying it all.
