She was dressed up all cute in a yellow sundress and I got a kiss goodnight on the front porch. It was totally out of a country song, lmao.

Mornin bicshes. Stupid Monday. Not that it matters much. I've been working for 9 days straight now (I even worked a few hours yesterday, on Mother's Day). Spring is a BUSY time of year in the pool business, and being self employed and the only employee makes it even more fun. I'm hoping I can get my dad to come back to work and get me out of the weeds so I can stop working all weekend. Blech.

Make that moooooonay while you can, then take it down to some southern beaches in the off season.

Mornin' gents.

Boring weekend for me. I spent most of it in battle with the mower, trying to fix the drive belt issues. Now the mower works great as of yesterday and absolutely hauls a**, but I have no brakes. Ugh.

I wish I could have, but I only have 4 vacation days left for the year and I want to save them for later this year. It's hard for me to get excited about driving nearly 9 hours for just a weekend trip anyways. When it comes to car events, i'm more of a one day and go home guy. I don't enjoy the whole weekend stuff unless it's just a small group.

I do intend to hit Tail of the Dragon this year though.

You've obviously never been to Carlisle..

One of my favorite parts of driving to these things is the road time...

^That is at least 60% of the issue :chuckle:

I can give you a hundred excuses why, but it just never works out for me to go every year. I'm hoping next year will work better for me, because i'll have more vacation time and possibly something worth throwing around on the track. Even if I do make it next year though, i'll probably stay with my in-laws and drive up for the day from VA. It's just under 2 hours from their place.

It's bland and boring, but it hasn't let me down yet. I hope it holds together for many years, so I can justify that third vehicle to the wife very soon.

Probably from all of that terrible country music. I know even a few minutes of listening for me makes me feel like I need to poop too.

The wife told me the other day how glad she is that the car turned out to be pretty decent, after all of the initial crap. She said she likes the fact that I have not complained about it a single time either. I just drive it and maintain it, that's it. No obsessing over fixing little things, or getting upset over dings and dents.

Trust me though, it goes against my every being to be seen in the thing. I've always had something relatively "cool" for my personal vehicle, so while I enjoy driving it and am content with it, I still yearn for that next fun vehicle daily. I'm just a lot more patient than I used to be...

Did anyone know that Burger King delivers now? I didn't, and now I have a free original chicken sandwich in my hands because of it. It feels weird.

BURGER KING DELIVERS? Things just got taken to a whole new level.

In Arab countries, everyone delivers. Seriously. I saw McDonald's, KFC, and Burger king delivery scooters.

Morning!

So I'm re-designing/engineering my liquid-to-air intercooler setup and I've come up against a snag. I tried to plastic weld some plastic barbed fittings onto the stock S14 coolant overflow reservoir and they won't bond. They're two different kinds of plastic and won't bond. The barbed fittings are nylon. Does anyone have any idea what kind of plastic Nissan uses for the overflow reservoirs? They make all kinds of special glues for this situation, but I need to know what types of plastics I'm working with.

Float. Contact GKTech. They make a replacement overflow tank that's like OE albeit thicker walled. They might know what kind of plastic.

I'm mapping out the rear suspension for my S14 rear subframe, but I've ran into a snag as well. I'm not sure if I should be using the line drawn from the ball joint of the RLCA to the rear ward pivot as my moment arm or if I should be making that moment arm perpendicular to the line drawn between the bushings.

Image

Like, should I be using the red line or the yellow line? I think the red line as using the yellow line would mean that the rear has a significant change of roll center between the S13 and S14.

Thanks for the lead. I'll contact them now.

I'm pretty sure it's the red line as well. From a suspension geometry standpoint the RLCA's are a "triangle" shaped arm.

Agreed. Clean with alcohol, hit it with some steel wool or sand paper and use the JB Weld that cures overnight, not the quick stuff.
