almost crushed one bare footed yesterday... I'm glad I didn't fully put all the weight on my foot when I felt it. It was right in front of the door too.marlin29311 wrote:

I was just going to say...there's no way this TV is being placed in an open environment...it's going to have it;s own special room for demoing and everything, to make it sound "awesome" where it is. Not to mention they'll pay off some ISF calibrator to come and set up the picture just perfect for the area.AppleBonker wrote:Same old, Faiz. What's poppin' with you?
Hey Lou, how do you think they'll market that tv? Cause the only reason their speakers sold so well (IMO) was that they had a display specifically designed from them that made them stand out from the other speaker offerings at big box stores.
And as I was typing, I realized that this will only be sold in Bose stores (according to the article). F*cking clever on their part. Without an alternate tv right next to it, it will be hard to do a legit comparison. Damn, that's brilliant. If only they could put as much effort into technology as they do marketing.
Hahaha that's a favorite of mine...watts on a speaker. I had someone ask me once about that...I told someone to get a DT ProCinema 600 or something, which are rated up to 150 watts per speaker, and their receiver was only 80 watts per speaker...guy asked me if it would work, considering the receiver didn't match up and wasn't powerful enough...AppleBonker wrote:I also wonder if they'll release any specs on the tv. They're notorious for withholding that when it comes to speakers, but with how numbers-driven tvs have become (I hate being asked about 60/120/240 Hz, contrast ratios, etc) I would think that these questions will come up far more frequently than they normally do with speakers (the only one I can think of on speakers is my favorite "how man watts does it have?").
Huh?marlin29311 wrote:In other news, I bought a "box of crap" - http://www.gearxs.com/gearxs/product_in ... s_id=14357
