It's been raining in Michigan for 3 days straight. I noticed during the last rain storm that my carpet on my drivers side floor was wet. The next time it rained I noticed a slight drip coming from the A piller. And now the headliner is damp right near the windshield. Can I just apply some RTV around where the windshield meets the a piller? Has anyone else had this problem?

Well I went ahead and RTV'd every spot that i noticed water coming from. Suffice to say my car smells TERRIBLE now lol. We'll see how it holds up.

that wont fix the problem, its just a patch. it could be a leaking sunroof or one of the hoses that drain the area around it. I just replaced my windsheild because of a leak, it usually costs about $200 dollars, but it is the permanent fix for a breach in the windshield sealant and adhesive.

Thanks for the reply. Wow that's cheap for a windshield. Do you have full coverage?

nope, just comp. they will acually send someone out to do it, so you tell them your car type and plate number and were it is parked durring whatever day, they come out and do it while your at work, school...you get the idea. its really convenient. just make sure its the windshield first and not the sunroof

Well even if it is the sunroof I still need a windshield, mine is cracked.

I'm 99% sure it's not the sun roof. It's high and dry around that area. It actually looks like it's leaking from where the body panels meet on the A piller. We'll see
