Yes sir, that is correct. I just hate pushing the "I agree" button at startup and it would sure be nice to program the NAV while in motion.

Yes you can. If you have a DVD player, you need to purchase a unit such as the "TV and Nav 2 Go" module.....you install this at the back of the Navigation system's DVD rom drive. You then send your DVD feed from your DVD player to the module. You then have a switch to flip from Nav to DVD on the front screen. I can help you out if you are interested in details.

Welcome to the Armada/QX56 Forum! Glad to have you as a member of NICOclub!

I DO NOT believe that the module will allow for the programming of the Nav while in motion. However, all you need to do is go to the back of your stereo and splice a simple toggle or rocker switch in the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wire. Then while you are driving, you flip the switch, set your destination, and flip the switch back. This mod should cost you about $5 total! Yes, if you add a relay or get one with the relay included. The unit can allow you to switch an auxilliary device by pressing and holding the ok button for a few seconds. You will have to access the speed signal on the back of the nav unit, and slipce in the relay. The unit can be set to provide swithing in three different modes. One is on/off where the default is always off. The second is a on/off switch that retains memory of the last position (If you had it switched on when you turned the car off, it will be on when you turn it back on). The last is intended for use for bypassing the speed sensor wire and will remain on for 20 seconds after the last time you press ok.

I have this on my Titan. Works great for both bypassing the OK screen and allowing programming while in motion.

I'm thinking about buying the NAV to TV module for my 07 Armada. I want the factory dvd player to play on my front navigation screen. I also want it to work with the factory CD/DVD button. I dont need audio because it already plays through all of the speakers. Can you help me with the install and tell me where I can get the module for cheap? Do I need a wiring diagram or do I need to a have a professional install it?

I'm not familiar with the year by year changes in the Armada, but TVandNAv2go.com or AVelectronic.com both have modules that allow you to input an external video signal to the Nav screen. I haven't looked at their products in a while, but you would likely need a video splitter with amplifier as well. The stock DVD's signal is too weak to display on 2 screens from the same signal. I have an AVelectronic unit and it required an amplifier.

I'm not sure how you would wire the CD-DVD button to activate it though as I don't have that in my Titan and even then, its likely a momentary signal when depressed. Adding a module that accepts such a signal can work but can also be glitchy if for whatever reason the input device and the screen's input setting are not synchonized (DVD player on, screen is displaying Nav and vice versa). I can't recall seeing a static signal from the DVD player that you might be able to use either. You'll probably just need to wire in a manual switch. If you have no need for the Nav programming ability while driving, then you can use the aformentioned KP technology device to bypass the disclaimer screen and use the "OK" button switching funtion to toggle between the Nav and DVD display.
