i recently bought a 1990 240sx with 184xxx miles on it for 500 dollars.. body is in really good condition but theres a few motor problems if anyone can help... its a 5 speed with reverse and it wont slide in the spot for reverse it started doing that after somone replaced the clutch and i heard it might just need ajustment.. also it had a hole in the radiator that was jb welded that just came off and the car over heated really bad tryin to make it home ( i had to stop to patch the spot multiple times) well now the engine is making a knocking noise i was told everything from a piston rod being thrown to timing could be the issue does the timing chain have anything to do with this? if anyone can please give me some advice it would be much appreciated

Timing has been owning everyone lately. My cars is done...for now atleast. I'd say take it apart and rebuild it. If not, there are plenty of motor swaps with trannys available in the classifieds. Pretty sure you could find a radiator though. Seems like a good buy on the car though. Minus the motor and transmission.
