I like the look of inverted subs... sound can be a bit different, but some head units have the option of siwtching between normal and inverted to correct for the difference between the two. I've never heard type R's inverted, but I know they sound very good with the normal install... did you get enough space in that box? I know Type R's don't really require a lot of room, but that looks like a pretty small box...

anyway, I'm loving the trunk setup! Thumbs up in my book...

I will say, however, that, as far as subs go, Type R's are no where near kingkong... maybe curious george..lol.. i kid, i kid.. but seriously, Applebonker has kingkong in his trunk... his one UL12 has more RMS power handling than 5 x type R's..

lol I'm just giving you $hit about the king kong... I think the type R's sound pretty good... to be honest, I'm not into the King Kong sound in the trunk anymore, so your setup probably sounds better than having, say, 2 x 12" W7's... sometimes, less is more!

Nice setup man! the inverted sub always look sweet

On a side note, I just went thru Gallup NM on Tuesday on I-40. We should've hooked up! I would have been the one driving a 26' Penske truck towing a lexus

. . so you came thru "Drunktown USA" huh! where were u headed to Dangeris?

My box is 1.25 cu.ft. 3/4 MDF, slot-ported (aimed into the interior), wrapped with black vinyl.8ga. tsunami wires for the sub signals, 4ga. power wires.i used 4 hood pins to secure box/for quick release, if i should ever have the need, the need for speed! *hi five* -did i just quote Goose n Mavrick?!?! haha!!

i gained like 65-70lbs with this here i think. so i had so make the box easy to remove in case an ESCORT or NEON is feelin froggy!!
