We were at a meet here in miami (State Rd 9) and these guys parked next to my friends '97 Altima. They happen to have been driving the same car only it didn't have the factory spoiler like my friends. They started commenting on how clean my friends car was (obviusly the guys is into th JDM trend). I had to teach him the whole "keep your car clean, dont let anyone suspect it's fast" thing.Anyways these guys start asking my friend things about altimas so being the nice car enthusiast that he is, he shared his knowledge on the Altima. He told the guy that he was into suspension and that his altima with it's sprint springs, KYB GR-2 shocks, and stillen sway bars handles aswell as, if not better than Some of his friends preludes with some or about the same amount of suspension tuning. He then told them about how hes into JDM and told them that the altima was named the bluebird in japan and comes all wheel drive SR20 powered. These guys seemed cool so we thought wow we enlightened someone new.

....Two weeks later their running around with an arospeed exhaust and the bluebird emblem. Man that just f@#$ing pissed us off. Then we got next to them at the light and they didn't even say hi to us , they just ignored us and punched it at the light. Whats even worse is that the emblem isn't even the real thing. It looks like they just got it custom made at kinko's or something. I learned my lesson that day...Let'm bust theirs learning things on their own, instead of freeloading off people who've been into cars since grammar school. Next time I'll ask them to solve this and tell what it represents CF= W x (speed)^2/14.97 x RIf their left looking like this :confused: then their not worth my time.

circular force =work times velocity squared divded by the force of gravity (dont think that right) times the radius of the earth. i didnt thinka bout it that hard and havent payed attentionin phyics that good and im in highschool. so if any of this is right i impressed my self

No I'm pretty sure your right, I just went over a lot of this stuff in my chem 1372, we had to take some stuff on physics and quantum mechanics, absolutely fascinating stuff, never thought I'd actually like this subject.

As for those other guys in the altima, that freakin sucks man, just one more ricer trying to imitate the jdm trend.I know exactly what that's like, I tried explaining to one of my brother's friends (who is like 16 and owns a 95 supra, there is no justice in this world) how a car works, just basics about how an engine makes power and how it gets to the wheels. I opened the hood of his car and explained to him "this is an intake, it sucks air to the throttle body which goes into the intake manifold..." and so forth for like half an hour, hoping this would inspire him to maybe start working under the hood. After all this he asked me "how do you do a skyline headlight conversion". I've never wanted to slap someone so hard in all my life. what the hell kind of crap is that?

Damn, I'm in Physics and never heard of that equation before. Maybe I should start paying attention? Just so hard, I'm always zoning off about stuff... like not Physics. Yeah, gravity is 9.81 m/s I believe... I hope, that would be one thing I've learned this year. Oh well, at least I'm passing.

But yeah, ricers suck.

9.8 m/s squared... gravity is an accelleration, not a velocity.

CF= W x (speed)^2/14.97 x R

I don't understand this. What are we solving for?

Were you going for the equation that gives CFM?

CFM = Displacement x RPM x .5 x VE / 1728

I think that 14.7 may have something to do with adding boost into the CFM equation...
