What all are you getting running around town? My EGTs seem a little low, but the car has no go in it, so I don't know if its too little timing. I was expecting them to be sky high, but the highest Ive seen was 1500 F at 6k in 1st. They tend to sit around 1400 F cruising and 900-1000 F at idle. Thought maybe the idle temps were a little high. Ive got the sender in the #1 runner halfway between the exhaust port and the collector.

Ive got a few pictures from my trip to NH by the way, including a few of Greg's car, which is freaking awesome by the way.

Idle seems to be spot on but your cruising seems a little bit high from my experiences with friends cars.

But on the good side, even your highest temp, isn't too high.

Tim, you are so sad haha. I got wasted last night and had a lady come over. You get wasted and talk with us. Haha. At least we know you will never cheat on us and will remember our birthdays and anniversary.

So sitting between 1500 and 1600 F cruising at 3k rpm is a little high. I'll add some timing across the board and see where that gets me.

ignition timing.

advance your CAS to the board, and if it dont knock, and your EGT's drop, our CA's are cousins or something.

or we have bad CAS's maybe??

One of the joys of CA ownership was going through 10 cas before coming across one thats good, remember?

The problem with your suggestion is that Tim doesnt use a CAS anymore. He uses a VR Sensor on the crank which acts like the CAS. He's running Megasquirt.

And messing with the timing is sooooo easy! I can do it from my chair in front of my computer. Then I just save the map, plug my laptop into my car, and hit "burn values to controller" and BAM! ch-ch-ch-chaanges!!

No, I have a really cool CNC'd 7075 aluminum plate covering the CAS hole.

Oh wow, just looking at my car having power steering makes me all teary-eyed. Those were the halcyon days.
