ok before people start jumping in here yelling at me to search im not wanting to just push a button to start the car after i put the key in the ignition i found a thousand posts on how to do that and i actually had to do it to an old pos passat vr6 i had awhile back becuase the ignition switch failed and besides i feel putting the key in turning it and then reaching over to push a button to start it is kinda silly anyway im wanting to know if anybody has done or has any info on how to install a fob setup where you leave the key in your pocket and when you in the car or the fob is within a few feet of the car only then will you be able to start it by pushing the start button like so many of the newer cars have i searched for hours today and i finally came up with one company but i couldnt find anything else anywhere and i find it hard to belive im the only one who has wanted to do something like this

Hells ya. Just find an alarm system with keyless start. Almost all your stereo /alarm places sell them.most likely with your car being a stick they might not install it because its meant for automatics (liability of you putting your car iinto your house if in gear) they might do it with no reciept. Make sure its done right though (do it yourself is the best way) I had a viper alarm that when my Turbo timer would count down and shut the car off the alarm would unlock my doors after I was already gone. Its all in the way you wire it up.

compact is so right here, its all in the wiring. you will need an alarm with a RF remote and you will need to custom wire it in.

i did this with the K9 sombra alarm and i gotta tell you the rfid thing just dosent work like a stock setup does. in order to make it work with an alarm you need to replace the stock ignition with a relay so when the alarm is disarmed the car will be ready to start. this will make your fuel pump run and the accessories turn on. if you park close to your house like me the rfid will have your radio and heater on and off all night. in the end i ditched the rfid and added a switch so i could turn off the ignition relay when the alarm was disarmed.

this is what im looking at now but i cant find any reviews other than this guy that promotes it but it seems pretty legit in the video and it doesnt disarm untill hes within like six feet of the car witch is perfect for me i dont know about all the beeping though i like the system but i dont need to be flashy and let everyone around me know that i have it
