Keyless Entry

I have a 94 Q45. Keyless entry system is not working. Dealer tried to program a new remote but they were unsuccessful. I searched the forum and found a thread about checking the multi remote control module. It stated that it is located in the trunk under the deck lid. Which module is it? What kind of text of or numbers should i be looking for? Is there any way to test this module? What else could be the problem?

Do you have the factory service manual? It shows the location on EL-62. Looks like it's right above the fuel pump area on the rear package tray I'm sure there are diagnostic procedures there too. If you don't have the FSM, you can download it and all of the TSBs as .pdf files at http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com for $20 with the one day viewing subscription.

My FSM is only for '90-'93 models. Module not shown because they do not have keyless entry. thanks for the info.

Just make sure you have a high-speed connection and plenty of time. There are enough differences between the 1993 and 1994 to make it worth the $20 - much cheaper than a dealership diagnosis and the chance that they'll just throw expensive parts at it until it works!

I would write down what sections you think you will need the most, drop the $20.00 start with the most important & go from there. There is a lot to that manual that you will never use.

I got the $20 one day subscription. Very helpful with diagnosis proceedures. I performed the Multi-Remote Control System - LAN trouble daignosis. Everything checked out ok until I checked he door switch circuit using the On-board Diagnosis - Mode II (switch Monitor). The front door switches input were detected, but the rear door switches input was not. The next step is to check and repair the door switch circuit. I have looked but cannot find its location in the schematics. does anyone know where to find and how to check the door switch circuit? Would malfunctioning rear door switches cause the keyless entry not to work? Please help!

What year model nissan/infiniti keyless remotes will interchange with the '94 Q45? I have a friend with an extra '95 maxima remote will it work on my '94 Q45?
