alrite, well a lil update deal... after having a honda/acura and DTM meet at the same place last weekend, the original spot i had in mind probly isnt going to work out, but i am thinking of meeting in Shawnee Mission Park would be good sicne theres big parking lots and picnic tables and grills to BBQ or something at... as long as no1 acts foolish with burnouts and donuts this place should work... let me scout around some more and post back wat i find, but as for right now i think that that would be the best idea... Other local car clubs have used this venue to host their meets so i think we should be alrite there...

well we can cruise afterwards and/or meet up that night and cruise, or if enough ppl were interested we could even cruise down to the drag strip, but ppl would have to bring $$...

Hey all, I just got the alert. Thanks Dan! I'll be there, no proplem. I'm in Topeka and I work during the week, but I'm game for the weekend. I also have a freind that has an S14 that I'll notify and see if I can get to come. He works a lot, so he's iffy. I'll keep an eye on this thread and if we get a set date, time, and place lemme know!

ok........so this will start on the 7th? I used to live in Overland Park and recently moved to a crappy town in TX east of dallas. I will be coming back to visit friends from august 2nd to the 9th so I would really like to check out everyones cars while I'm there. I will be flying in so I probably will be with a friend who doesnt have a 240 though. Please respond with maybe a time and exact date and place so I can come check it out. I had no idea there was such a large following of the 240 is my area!

well if its as it is normally, the Viper Club and maybe some DTM guys i know (BMW/Porsche) guys will be out there, and theres 2 lotus' that go as well on occasion, but there are overwhelming numbers of crotch rockets and obnoxciously loud american muscle.Nascart is at 135th and Mur-Len in Olathe, not far from my house, its indoor go carts but its really expensive, like $25 for 5-10mins

yeah, i must say it was way overpriced, while i was working there, the prices just kept going up, the employee discount sucks too, every shift you work you get only 5 min free! The real problem is that all the karts handle differently because of the track conditions, they spray down adhesive to keep the karts from flying around the track. I actually set the road track record and the oval track record while I was working there, i even still have my timeslips, can't remember where they are though. I remember on the oval it showed i averaged like 58mph!

BTW, would it be possible to have it the weekend before, cause i fly in on saturday, and if anyone can do it, sunday would be fine.

Alrite, this is the plan as of now, just trying to give every1 as much notice as i can... we're gonna try this:

-Meet at Hooters ( I-435/Metcalf ) <--doin it here since its close to the highway...-2:00PM on Sat. the 9th-Grab some grub, talk, hangout, figure out plans from there... probly cruise to shawnee mission park or somewhere and take some pics of all the cars....dunno, we'll have to see....

Any questions/concerns/request my contact info can be sent to my email [email protected]Thanks:)

The last meet we had, we met in that exact same spot and it worked pretty well. It's very easy to find and there is a big parking lot. The food isn't really that bad (I don't think) and the tight shirts make up for it in my opinion! I'm cool with Hooters if everyone else is. And we don't neccisarily have to eat there, it's just a good place to meet.
