Hey i have a Ka24de, and i had some problems with misfires also.. I replaced spark plugs and wires. Distributor cap and rotor. MAF sensor... nothing worked.. this is my project car, so it just sat in my garaged for 4 months with REALLY REALLY bad gas, and i realised that it was the gas, so i went to my local gas station [CHEVRON] REALLY REALLY good gas station! so i filled up a those gas holder tanks thingy.. filled it up with 92 octane the highest one, and went home poured it into my car, let it ran for about 15 min and it run sooo good now.. i mean sometimes it misfires because of the old gas still in the tank i have to burn off.

hope this helps =]
