More boost is on the to-do list. How much do you guys think I can push safely on a stock block?

GTR, do you have a consult device?
You can use one to see if your O2 sensor is working properly. It's supposed to be at 0V in lean conditions and 1V in rich conditions.
I should probably check mine.

The stock block can withstand 400 ft lbs of torque.

No I sure don't. I need to get one though. Changed out the o2 sensor today, but checked the voltage before I installed the new one. Thought the sensor wasn't getting any power, it was only reading 0.1-0.2 volts when running. Later read that they don't use much power at all.

The new sensor has my cruise AFR's looking a ton better. Just made my 45mi trip to work, it was between 14:1-14:9 the whole way. It had occasional dips down to 13:1 and same up to 16:1, but it's way better than a constant 12-13:1.

That old sensor was more than likely the original sensor (20 yrs old now!) and when I first went ka-t with that junk emance tune, it idled 9-10:1 for a good while til I got a real tuner involved. It def needed a new sensor.

What's a good place to get a consult cable these days?

I'm using an eBay one that looks just like this:

Works great. If you want a free consult program, ECUtalk is pretty nice.

I may go with the MS Chris has and steal his tune! Course thats a wicked long time away. I have so many other things to fix before I boost her again. She just sits...parked next to some old F150 :frown: Sometimes I drive her around base just to keep the fluids moving. She starts right up as if she's trying to tell me she's still ready and she misses me...

I'm still on the fence between MSPNP and Nistune. That's still at least a year out thought before I make that decision.

On a side note. Installed my struts with tein s techs. Never going back to coilovers unless I can afford some high end ($2k) coilovers. I will never trade ride quality for lowering again.

Hadn't been driving mine much, need to finish up the a/c first. I did do my Q45 brakes, came out pretty good. A little soft but lots of power- locks up if you're not careful though

Mine needs work before I can register it here in DE. So I'm just waiting till we move in Oct. No sense in paying to register it here for a few months....plus PA doesn't require nearly as much stuff to be in working order. No smog either.

Thanks WD! He's 7 weeks old now and an awesome little dude. Sorry for late reply, between the two jobs, the little one, and having to use the circa 2004 laptop (she's slow, but works), and having sold the 240 (sad day), I don't get on the forums much anymore.

Good to see you're still breathing buddy. Sorry you sold the 240, perhaps you'll get another someday.

Keep your head up and enjoy the time with your kid, they grow up wicked fast. My oldest just graduated Army Boot this month, he's a combat medic. My youngest are 6 and 3, both car guys in the making.

Yeah, I made the decision to sell shortly after buying the house. I knew we were going to have kids soon and just thought it best. In hindsight, I should have just kept it, but oh well. At least when I buy another one, I'll know what I want to do from the start and can start fresh. Yeah, I took leave from my primary job, so I only work about 2 days a week so I can spend more time with him. Hey, if your son likes being a medic, he can probably get the Army to pay for him to go PA school as long as he gets his Bachelor's degree while in the service. One of the PA's I work with has been in the Army for about 22 yrs (reserves for most of it) and that's how he went to PA school.

He was to be a shrink...but he's young and stupid so, who knows what he'll do when he grows up.

haha same ol same ol...

I just accepted this new job in Los Angeles for a start up company, which is approximately 22 miles away from my house. The drive over there isn't that bad, but coming home, it takes me about an hour  I'm thinking about taking the metro on Monday to see if that makes a difference in my day.

This sounds very familiar. I am slowly picking away at stuff, but it seems like there is a never-ending list of things I need/want to do before I feel comfortable running any boost. I am slowly getting mine together, I have been fighting weird AFR's lately. And I am not sure if the egt bung location Nate put on the AMS manifold is in the correct spot. Its on the third runner, like two inches from the head. I am getting some really high EGT readings, just cruising (1400-1550). May have just as much to do with my afr issues though. Last time I drove it my cruise afr is around 17, sometimes higher. I am assuming there is some sort of intake leak somewhere, all the sensors are good and reading correctly. I am planning a v-band mid mount IC setup and to install the intake mani I built to simplify things.

Sorry Adrian, we had an issue with Google a few months back. So we had to crack down on the NSFW stuff big time.
