Long story short.

Purchased car with solenoid malfunctioning, never got around to it ; in turn blew the engine due to over revving.

I'm far from making the big bucks, being a student succks! I got my hands on a low KM/M engine and transmission. To save some $$ and to better educate myself i'm prepared to take on this O' so daunting task of doing a swap.

But first i came here to perhaps find a guide , that search button failed on me

With that being said any , ANY help is greatly appreciated and if there is a step-by-step guide that would be amazing.

Straight swap, KA for KA

thats..it lol

u follow ur upper engine harness from ur firewall all across ur car... disconnect all the plugs...then...look at ur alternator, it has a couple connections too... a plug, and a 10mm nut, ad a 8mm nut behind that one...starter has a 10mm aswell i believe. and a clip connection... and there other connections below aswell for ur transmission... disconnect them. be carefull not to break em due to age...

disconnect ur P/S pump from ur P/S lines... ur A/C, get it drained at a shop properly...specially since it's R12 FREON...****s not kew... once its drain properly... disconnect A?C lines at A/C pump... also u got 2 choices...well three for ur exaust... disconnect headers were they connect to the engine...disconnect headers were they connect to downpipe...disconnect headers were they connect to engine and drop the WHOLE exaust...which ever u find easiest...

ur gonna have ur hood off ur car BTW...

drain fruils...coolant/water/oil/... might wanna remove radiator for extra room...once transmission is loose and engine is loose pull and remove...

now reverse everything for new engine...

suggestion though...replace the timing chain and guids if u got the dough fo it...
