It's allready a small turbo for an SR...I can't imagine one on a KA! I guess it'd spool up fast though, but then give out up top :(

I have heard even a straight up T3 is too small for the 2.4 liter KA, so I can't imagine a small T25. Now the T28 variants off the later silvias, I would think, would be able to support a modest psi to redline and they would spool up immediatly, which could be interesting. But ultimately the tiny turbine housing is gonna reduce your volumetric efficiency and choke the engine off, and with as much exhaust as a 2.4 liter flows I would think boost creep would be an issue with the smaller T28's tiny internal wastegate.

I like the body kit on that car, mike murphy, not the wing, but the kit is pimp.

Thanksfor your thoughts. I know it wouldnt be properly sized. I have done lots of research on this. Just looking to know if someone has DONE it.

You know, I did see a guy with a custom manifold for twin T25's once... everyone knocked him of course but I still think that sounds interesting! If you go for the twins off a skyline they would be matched pretty well for the application, I'd think. Just a thought, anyway....

well i dont think anyone has done it.

yeah twin T25s would be such a complete mess of piping and troubleshooting!

not too much of a mess in piping... do a single blow through Z32 mafs, and Y the two turbo outputs together before the intercooler. give each turbo its own little filter, bingo.

I've got a T25 water cooled turbo. I love the torque but top end sucks. Boosting 6psi on stock motor.

Your running a T25 with the stock turbine on your KA? pls confirm.

please note that there are several variants of T25 running around... one off a skyline wouldn't work, tiny turbine. ca18det is teeny too. sr might...

Yes I am running a Garrett T-25 turbo on a log style manifold. Like I've said between 2k-5k you get really good power but after that the power just flat lines. Heres my dyno results for 4 lbs of boost. http://caleb.itgo.com/sptest.gif Remember that is is on a stock motor with no tune-up of any kind and stock fuel trim. The numbers are kinda low but they are good for the time being. Let me know what you guys think.

Do you know what A:F your running? Do you have a boost gauge and if so does it hold 4psi to 6000rpm?

also, do you have msn or icq?

Hmm... only a torque increase at 3-5 RPM? Not too bad for 4psi, but I'm kinda wonderng what kind of damage the turbo will have if you push it any harder.

I have no idea what the a/r is...but right now I am boosting about 6psi. Have been doing this for awhile and YES it holds boost all the way to redline. I tried boosting 7 psi but then the engine started to run lean so I turned it down to 6 just to be on the safer side. I know you guys are gonna Flame me for running this amount of psi on a stock motor but I have done this for awhile now and I take it up to redline every weekend and the motor still has great compression.

i have the dyno of a t25 running 4psi. Its pretty ugly. Gain of maybe 20 hp and tq throughout the band.

interesting though.

why would a T28 be too small? the SRT-4 runs that turbo and its a 2.4 liter also. and SCC magizine dynoed it at like 230 or 250 something like that.

if i recall correctly the t25 uses the same size turbine as the t28. t28 just has a larger compressor on it. dont quote me though.

everything suffers when the turbine isnt properly matched to its application.

yeah the 20hp gain is pretty stupid i already have a DSM t25 and i/c so im goin to find me a second dsm t25and have a twin set up i know a guy who will make me the manifold, down pipe and y-pipes to and from turbo, need cash to do it but im definitly goin to try it, just give me some time, ill let ya'll know what happens, it'll be a while but i will try it

do u think that the twin t25's or twin t28's would be a good idea not really for alot of power because only two exhaust puses is pushing the turbo but i think the pressure of the ehaust will give a moderate amount of power, looks cool too

what i meant is the exhaust pressure will still move it, just not as powerful as four exhaust pulses

i know the newer SR20's have the t28's and the neon srt-4 but what else does?
