Has anyone tried using a K&N Filter on a Versa? I've been using these filters for years on several different vehicles and have never had a problem of any kind. They're great filters, cleanable and they last for years. Someone told me that there was a problem using them on a Spec V, in that there's a small wire sensor that can be affected by the oil on the filter. Does anyone know if this problem exists on the Versa?

Thanks for any cmments.

Thanks for that comment. I'm going to go ahead and order a K&N. I only have 200 miles on my Versa and I just filled up for the first time. I was a little disappointed in the mileage. It got 22.7. I sure hope it gets better. This was strictly in town driving and it hasn't been on the highway at all. I've been driving below 45 so far for break-in. Other than the mileage, I'm really enjoying the car. It has lots of room and is very comfortable. What did anyone else get when their cars were new?

No issues with the K&N for me.

Don't know why some have had issues with mpg. Never been lower than 27-28 (break in) for me.

I got about the same for my first few tanks. I now get low 30s, and I drive fairly aggressively in town.
