Hello everyone, new to the forum so forgive me if i placed this new topic in the wrong spot but i want inputs on everyone here from the Z community.
I have an NA (auto sadly) and wanted to get a little more power out of it. I have heard great things about the Pop Charger and mixed reviews about the Injen Intake. I have read many forums EVERYWHERE but none seem to give a specific answer or better opinion. I would lean more towards pop charger because it is cheaper, but it does not come with the pipes, just the filter. The Injen Intake comes with everything. I would like to hear opinions based on their personal experience with either one. If pop charger is better, where can i go about buying the pipes for it?
I am located in SoCal for anyone wondering so much dry heat around here. I am fairly new to the car community to excuse me if i do not have the proper terms or names for them.

Personally, I would save up for an M/T Z32 that isn't running to make a good swap project. The automatic transmissions for our cars aren't at all reliable and in general, automatics inherently don't age well. With that being said, I wouldn't spend the money on any power-adders until you have a good gearbox that won't leave you stranded one day without notice.

But if your're really dead-set on spending the money, go with the JWT pop charger. Unless you've already taken the steps to lower your under-hood temps, those Injen hard-pipes are more susceptible to heat soak than the OE inlet tubes. Higher intake temps are bad M'kay.

I mainly hear people saying to go with pop charger. That being said, should i use the original soft pipes or if hard pipes, where can i buy hard pipes?

I noticed a mpg drop with mine, swapped out for the stock pipes an mpgs have long since increased. And with proper throttle cable adjustments and tps being set right just the pod filter has been great

Best using the JWT pop charger with the OEM hardpipes, and the popcharger kits are all available at CZP, Z1, SPZ, etc. and for similar prices more or less.
Expect to pay about $100 or so.

Just an update. I decided to go with the OEM pipes and installed it. It was a ***** to get the 2 screws from the air box but nonetheless, the job was finished. I do notice an increase in my mpg, not much but noticeable and better throttle response. As far as the sound, it is difficult to say because i am running on a muffler delete and cant tell much of a different from the inside. My buddies say they can tell the difference, so thats a +
