I took your advise on the RSR springs. Perfect drop and great ride on my Q70s. I went with SPD FFS01 Flow forged wheels. 20×9 up front 20×10.5 in the rear.Image[/img]
Can you post some pics recently looked into springs and all the pictures don't work since photobucket changed their forum policy.

Nice. Glad you like the ride and height. The pic isn’t coming through on here. Ive decided to forgo coilovers and wheels and keep the car as is. Still looks great and sporty. The lack of aftermarket stuff for our cars has killed my mod bug. I’m currently in the process of modding my Yukon instead.

Thanks for the pics looks awesome :chuckle: . You really didn't need any arms or anything? i have heard so many things at this point that i'm confused. People on facebook say i will need camber arms just for lowering springs which are a extra 400 ish. I was gonna go with eibach because i saw the drop is the same and so is the ride quality form what i've heard for 100 bucks less.

Image Here's mine lowered on Eibach springs, I tired the BC coil-overs but I could not get the driving comfort with how low I had it. (Trust me I tried everything) I drive about 30k a year so I went to Eibach, they measure 28-1/4" Front and 28.0" Rear. Just added these inexpensive wheels and I am having R-1 cross drilled / slotted black rotors installed this Friday. Image

Thanks for the input. So did you need any kits other than the lowering springs to adjust your specs?

Nothing else needed, I did have it aligned at my local dealership after having the springs installed.

Hello guys. The question i have is about putting the suggested RS downs on my Q70 with 109k miles. Miles being my concern. Will the OEM shocks become an issue? I will appreciate any information you guys can provide.

I'm at 28" in the rear and 28.5" in the front.

Thanks, mine is at 28" rear and 28-1/4" front. Very similar!
So if I'm reading this correctly the RS-R Down Spring Set item N281D for the RWD M37/M56/Q70 Fuga Y51, could be stiffer up front and the same in the rear. This leads me to believe the RS-R front springs would be suited for the V8's possibly?

I want to re-word this post. Does the RS-R kit front springs seem to (hypothetically) have a higher spring rate than the Eibach spring kit?

The Eibach (6398.140) Pro-Kit states that its kit is only offered for the M37, Q70 3.7Ltr.

The RS-R kit (N281D) states it is for the RWD M37/M56/Q70 Fuga Y51.

Does a 1/4-inch difference in height of the fender well with the RS-R being higher, suggest that it is well suited for the little bit heavier 5.6Ltr?

I would like some expert input if you please. I'm seriously considering the RS-R kit and just want to feel the "warm and fuzzy" that it has a good chance to do the job and also be informational.

If it helps you out, OE's and aftermarket spring manufacturers almost universally try to match front and rear rates to the vehicle's F/R balance. Putting higher or lower rates than the weight balance demands at one end-only tends to make for weird response to bumps and skittish handling in general. The only good reason I can think of to deliberately mismatch them is if you spend your life making donuts. But the upshot is, if you buy a matched set from the same manufacturer, they'll definitely have made efforts to match the ends to the application.

Is there any difference with the q70s and the q70l as far as suspension?

I was also thinking about getting the n281d for my q70 but I see the n282d is slightly lower but the n282d is for the awd. Clearly I know the awd and the rwd are different but are the springs different? Can someone please help out with this.

Also the white q70 looks very nice lowered on stock wheels.
