Just got my car :-)

I just got my black '89 Hatchback stick with 134K miles in it all stock. Before I do anything to the car I wanna get a SR20 engine in it.

Is it the smart thing not to waste money on intake and exhaust since I need to change it anyway when i get my engine swap? or can I change the exhaust and then intake and still use it with the new engine?

I'm a noob :-( so bare with me plz

the intake will be useless but the exhaust.. depending on what you get can be used with the SR. I say go ahead and spend money on it... cuz being realistic.. if you are going to be working and saving up money for the SR... it will take a while... and so you may want to just add a little performance to your existing engine.. and you can always sell the intake... if you get an injen.. it won't loose that much of it's value when you try to sell it...for exhaust.. i recomend spending the big bucks and getting a cat back... if you don't want to go 3" then I would recomend apexi dual n1's

yes you can... you wont gain any power with it on your KA, but when you finally install your sr20, youll be glad you went with the 3" n1 duals. or you can just have a pile of parts in boxes, and try to do it all in a week like im going to do! haha good luck man and congrats

less back pressure since you are running wit a turbo motor. like the pro. said you own't gain anything with it now being that your car is n/a and all. I'm going to have to change up my exhaust to come this fall after i get my engine, IDK i might aimming for the HKS hiper or i might gt the Apexi GT spec. I knoe the GT spec clearence sux though so IDK. i might even just get a titanium exhaust
