Are you trying to make me miss Rambo? :crybaby

Those were great cars. I always liked the looks of the LT-1 better. I liked the sound better too. Rambo had a deeper sound. I can't believe I never did a video of it.

When you buy a car like that and pay big $$$ for it, you better be planning on keeping it. A guy in my car club paid $75k for a Lingenfelter Camaro and when he got ready to sell it, nobody would give him near what it was worth.

Thanks for sharing. Very nicely done. :dblthumb:

Not trying to make you sad. I just thought of you immediately when I clicked the link in my friend's e-mail, and thought you would appreciate such a lovingly kept specimen.

I had the ultimate 1st generation Mazda RX-7, the 1985 GSL-SE. Big block, fuel injection, special wheels/tires/trim/interior. After I stopped driving it for a couple of years I was worried that I'd end up letting it rust out in the driveway. It turned out that the real market value in 2005 was $1000 or less. I gave it to a friend who wanted it in exchange for helping me out with a project at the house. He drove it for a couple of years, then gave it to another mutual friend who fixed it up and gave it to his son.

I got way more than $1000 worth of satisfaction.

I know you wouldn't do anything to make me sad...you are too nice. ;)

I guess the only car I ever had that had a cool ancestory was my '73 Grand Prix. Elvis had bought it for one of his body gaurds. I never saw the title, so I'm not sure if it was signed by Elvis or not. He was still alive so it wasn't such a biggie. My '76 Camaro was in the Memphis Auto Show. Can you believe that I washed and waxed the paint off that car? Litterally....I did. It was silver. I waxed it all the time. One time when I was trying to polish it up and it wouldn't shine, I realized that it was the gray primer showing through. :squint: Paint just really wasn't that good back then....waxes and polished weren't either.

Cool stories. You made me think of one of my favorite Was (not Was) tunes, Elvis's Rolls Royce.
