Just bought an 84 Pickup!

How can I tell which pickup this is? Is it possible to tell with the VIN number?

Also interested in swapping the motor in for something that can ACTUALLY tow my 240sx lol.Something that fits with little modification, and no cutting anything out for the transmission.

84 pickup is the same as my 85... its a nis/dat 720... subforum is in the old datsun pickup lovers ODPL... you can put the 240 motor in it without much modification needed as the truck generally comes with the Z24 which is the same size... same bore and stroke etc... as you know for your 240 the ka-t would be able to tow your 240

oh, thanks for letting me know about that forum.

i already have too many ka24e motors sitting around. i have one in the 240, and another one being rebuilt for boost haha.

i was thinking more like v6-ish. if its possible. like with a VG or something.
