Read back some posts and you'll know why. I find out tomorrow for sure if we can have the meet there. Stupid reservations department are taking their sweet little time getting back to me about it after I call every day.

Whittier Narrows is a no-go. I was told that we have to hire an LA County Officer to supervise our meet because 2 weeks ago, the park had a large car meet there and it turned sour. This ****ING sucks, as we have to abide by the new rules that we need security there.

If only that meet didn't turn out bad, we'd be having a nice meet next Saturday.

Anybody else have any suggestions on a nice place to hold this? I want to be able to salvage this meet as much as possible.

I got some suggestions about Huntington Beach. We can all gather at the beach there and just eat wherever. Are there any BBQ areas there so that we can still bring food?

Put in your input people, I know alot of you want to have a meet this Saturday.

We can still have a "smaller" meet this Saturday, since I'm sure alot of people aren't going anymore. Fine with me, as long as we have some sort of gathering.

I'm still going to Whittier Narrows on the 18th. They never said anything about us not being able to meet up. It's just a coincidence all these 240's came at the same park to have a BBQ. LOL

I have about 3 friends from here that are going with me. Who else still wants to show up? I need to know so that I can figure out what to bring, since I need some portable BBQ grills.

No offense intended here guys but it seems when there is a meet involving 240sx's the owners of the cars tend to get out of hand at the scene of the event which in turn causes problems with law enforcement. I have seen this happen on many occasions, it even happened at a locel event here in Norcal I went to. Those of you who own 240's and partake in this kind of activity should really reserve your playing till you are away from the meet location in order to preserve it for future meets. Plan your showboating activity for an area somewhere after the event, obviously this will be a different location after each meet at the preserved park or grocery store parking lot. I realize the prior event that caused the problem may not have been 240s but they are the same type of car owners.

BTW I too own a 240 so dont think this is prejudice. I save all my burning out and drifting for school zones with lots of crosswalks

The address is on the fist page. My friend will be arriving there early to set-up. Whatever place he thinks is the nicest is where we'll meet up. Just look around and wait til you see 240's.

Do you have a portable grill we can use?
