install is completely done! sub is placed in the trunk on pass rear. amp is installed under the rear parcel shelf out of sight. the trim under neath needed to be cut so the amp would fit, but i was not concerned. i will take pictures, but it is an awkward angle. i need to dynamat the underside of the rear parcel shelf because the pressure it the trunk makes the rear dash "flutter" on some songs with alot of bass, but overall it sounds amazing. just one 10" sub is plenty enough for me.

I had to get another LOC because the one i pictured below did not have enough output. i went one model up of the same Stinger line and it beat it's @$$ off.

other than a sound dampening material under the rear parcel shelf, i may put a set of bass blockers on the mids in the doors. i am very happy with all the work i did previously to get the rattles out because it sounds solid.

any questions, i am willing to help...thanks for watching this thread, if you did!

Good deal. To stop the parcel shelf from fluttering you can always use some expanding foam. In my Maxima I simply pulled the grille from the Bose Sub and used pieces of foam to brace the panel more. Worked like a champ.

Understood.

I assume you removed the factory Bose sub? I remember leaving the factory sub in the Maxima and it would flutter with the bass.

i actually do not have Bose. if i did, installation would have been easier, as I could have tapped into the wires on the factory amp.

I am running power to the mid range 6.5" in the doors via the headunit and it sounds great. i have a mono amp for the sub.

Gotcha....

Both mine have Bose and the 10" mid woofers in the doors. The sedan sounds OK but the coupe sounds good enough for me to not upgrade.

Looks like you have a great set up timmy0257. I have a question though since you're using the JL TR650-CXI speakers.

I have a 2004 G35 sedan with Bose (or Blose as some people say). I also have upgraded the headunit to an Eclipse 52D. I do have a 10w3 powered by a JX500/1, which is great for me since I do not want to be heard coming down the street.

1) Would factory Bose amp be to power the TR650's if I was do change out my door speakers?
2) Is the process a direct swap out besides adding the spacers? (plug-n-play)

Actually, anyone can help answer this question.

Good question and I would say yes. Just remoe old speakers and replace with new ones. You may a need to crimp connectors on the end and affix the spacers

While it would work you would lose volume. Most Bose speakers are 2ohm other than the tweeters which are 4. Running 4ohm speakers instead of 2 means you lose 3db plus some headroom.

Concur with Matt on the 2ohm speakers in a Bose system.
