I find something that will maybe caught your interest. I had search on the forum to be sure that was nothing about it and result= nada.

This was found on a S13-s14 forum in europe.

Here are two picture: one from Eudm oil pump and another from Jdm oil pump.

Jdm oil pump

Eudm oil pump

They claim that the Eudm Have better flow and volume than the jdm

Looks like the housings are different, too.

I have my doubts of them being interchangeable, but I could be wrong.

Both have been pull from ca18det ... look at the bolt hole (patern) they are the same or something really similar to my eye.

The spikey one is the old design, whereas the rounded contour version is the new pump. I had the old pump on my motor, and upgraded to the new one.

I suppose, haha. I couldn't see the entire bolt pattern on the newer version, which is why I was uncertain.

There is no problem with using either, they are both CA18DET items..

If you buy a genuine nissan oil pump, it will be the newer georotor design, rather than the crescent design of the earlier pump.

When I sourced my new pump, I had a chat to the sales manager at Nissan Australia..

There were a two different part numbers between models (adm and jdm) that had the ca18det motor, however they had an anotation move to a single part number..

This was the change from old to new design...

So the reason why they got it that way in europe is probably because their ca18det design is a little bit newer than the jdm . Something like the 4 port head instead of butterfly system.

Im' happy when i saw that Nissan Upgrade their old product. There coilpack, Engine motor bracket (beefer) and now oil pump.

I think that the new 'design' look a little more like the pump found in the rb20,25,26 series

Hey Meminto can you PM me the different part numbers on NS.com. I'm planning on rebuilding my spare engine in a few months and want to use the newer design of the two pumps.I had heard that the pumps changed in 1990 so the pointy one was <1990 and the other one was 1990+.
