Ok so i live in Japan(military) and my turbos on my 1990 Z are shot, pretty much zero boost. So I took it to JUN Auto today, because why not? And they said I need new turbos which will cost $5000 but I'm sure over half of that is JUN labor. Oh and that is simply to replace my turbos with OEM turbos, since they said no upgraded turbo kit exists for JDM RHD 300s. Not to doubt the almighty JUN tune shop, but is this true? Or can I buy some upgraded turbos from the states that bolt up properly to RHD? I'll even take OEM turbos from the states if they're cheaper. I have already emailed ConceptZ and Z1 and I'm awaiting response. Thanks!

As far as I know you can get the same turbos from a RHD, so there are upgraded turbos that you can put on the car. When it comes to "easy" to install new turbos, that it is not. It is possible to remove the turbos with the engine in the vehicle, but extremely difficult. Its actually easier to remove the engine to access the turbos. The price for JUN is probably about 3k labor and 2k parts. If you can or have the ability to remove the engine on your own, I would definitely go that route.

SOmeone will probably chime in soon to verify the turbos fit or not.
