well take off your fixed mirror and see if there is a plug in there that isn't plugged.

well i dont have em yet i just dont want to spent $ on them and it be a project i cant do without certain things. I bought the digital climate control a while back thinking it would be a simple project but low and behold i still have it sitting in my room, I dont what the mirrors to sit and collect dust like my climate control.

I picked mine up for about 70 shipped off ebay with the switch and all. Comparing the two switches there are two extra wires coming out of the new switch. I'm thinking I'll have to run a pair of wires to each mirror to the switch to get it all done. Anyone else done an install yet?

I'm in the same boat, any luck s-14boy? i've looked at the jdm mirror install for the civic, which i'm thinking will be similiar... i've surmized that guide on that one provided the option for a radio shack relay incase the jdm switch was not included to replace your existing one. i'm gunna do it sometime this week. Might need to get some wire for the switch to have it fold, ran from the control switch out. Anybody else got info?

even a scan from a JDM service manual on this would help. or where to get an s13 service manual :) er an s14 for the newer cars.. info would definitly be in there... thanks for reading this.

Yeah no luck on em, I cant even find any to buy now. I would think that theres a relay between the switch and mirror but im not sure, I looked in the Australian FSM but I guess they didnt have em either.

Hey if you ever decide to go that route Boy give me a mail... Its definately something that sparks my interest, and I may be able to help, as Im pretty decent with wires and am local.

Im checking the FSM now btw. And you need winRAR to decompress them....

It seems from both the BT and EL section that the aussie 200sx is like our in offering only electric controlls of the mirror itself. I didnt see anything in the wring that would go to a a motor to allow it to fold.

If the motor and harness out is in the jdm mirror then it would be as easy as tapping into the relay and power and wiring up a switch. You could also possibly use a set of momentary power window switches, so that down would go in and up would come out, and rest would be nuetral. Run one for each, in the blanks / coin holders location next to the pm controlls.

Well the japanese one comes with a switch if you can find em, in the past year ive seen it on ebay like 2 times and they go for an arm and a leg. But, yeah like u said 96_S14 im sure its not too hard.

i managed to get mine for 112 on eBay for my 240sx/s13. it came with the side mirrors, and the harness/switch with the additional folding option on it. yeah i'm gunna have to do a relay i guess :) and run wire out. I think the info in the scanned service manual is for the Australia version, and i couldn't find info either, but that gave a better idea on how the mirrors/USA modelwork :)..

Not sure when i'll have time to get this installed, just got an X-Box for my bday, and a desk. which needs to be assembled LOL "that alone will take 5+ hours" HUGE desk. i'll post soons i'm done.

I just had a thought, Im not sure if any other Nissans came with folding mirrors in the US but u could check around I guess too, or maybe an Infiti. See if you can get a copy from the FSM from the dealership. Just a thought.

I just installed my JDM folders today.. The wiring will be quite easy.. I just removed the two wires from the new plug and stuck 'em in my old one. Then I gots to run a wire (pair) to each door. I ran short jumpers to test works fine..

Only thing is being as they are from a right hand drive I gotta figure out how to switch the glass. "Objects are closer than they appear" Enemy #1. It's backwards for a US car.. Everything is bubbly and out of place in the driver side and the passenger side won't look in the right direction (I can watch the curb pass by in my psngr side mirror.. Other than that they are pretty swank.

I'm confused. My s14 has electric mirrors that fold in. I was under the impression that this was a pretty typical option. What makes the JDM ones so special or different?
