Sorry for late reply guys, i've not much access to net,i can't seem to find my diagram but its somewhere and i'll look and email to whoever wants it.Let me just say that i've figured this out myself so if it sounds like a bit of a cowboy job then my excuse is i'm not an electronics expert or something, besides it works to this day with no probs, i'll let you guys know when i've found it.

Cheers

Danny

danny, or anybody, really, can i get a wiring diagram? and i never thunkd of the "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" or some such would quite mess things up. can you use the US mirrors on the jdm housings?

and yes, i would use this. delivery driving requires EVERY inch of the road.

and as of yet i do not know how to move 18-wheelers out of my way.

thanks.

edit: (but im in the market for 'em and i would like some info. thanks again.)

Everything is bubbly and out of place in the driver side and the passenger side won't look in the right direction (I can watch the curb pass by in my psngr side mirror.. Other than that they are pretty swank.

I was thinking about getting some of these but was also worried about the rear view mirrors. I was at Autozone the other day and noticed they have a whole variety of replacement mirrors for the rear views. I'm sure some of them would fit no problem, they have alot, so this might be an option.

Also, what's the point of these? Just looks? Why were they originally implemented? Is there any use really? I can't see myself ever using them....

...except to be like Ludacris and have my side mirrors flap like a ****ing bird!! :)

the point of these is to fold the mirrors when you need them to be folded. especially useful in the rain. i could use these nearly every day. i spend about 5-7 hours/day 5 days/week in my car in the city. alleys, parking lots, loading dock maneuvers often require a quick fold of one (or both) mirrors.maybe its just me.

and the replacement of mirrors would probably be pretty easy. what quality is the glass and backing that you can buy at autozone?

Why would you fold the mirrors in the rain? I can see using them if the car is going into a tight space or something, but they would only give you maybe 6" max extra clearance.

Yeah replacing mirrors is pretty easy, I unfortunately don't know the quality of glass at Autozone, but I assume glass is glass, unless it's plexiglass/lexan/whatever. Either way it would be better than not seeing anything but the gorund out of the side mirrors.

well pretty much all mirrors fold in, right? they're just manual. well in the rain, wouldnt it be nice to fold those mirrors in without having to roll down the window and get wet? awww yeah.
