+1 on the lights I think that the greatest body part of the J30 is the front end though, But you proved me wrong and you made the whole car look good.

Any more pics of the entire car?

Whats it sound like too.

If you kept the stock "suitcase"/muffler that would be sweet.

I know what it sounds like. It sounds like crap. If you cut out the cats and just put straight pipes in there you get a tinny, metal rattling sound plus with only having that one muffler (if you can really call it that) I bet it drones like nothing else. Probably have to take a can of advil with you for trips longer than 15 minutes.

And, why have true dual exhaust on a car and then stifle all those gasses down into one pipe right before the exit?

If you don't have any other resonators other than that rear fart can, your car is too loud and probably very blatty sounding under acceleration.

Here's mine:

front cats replaced with straight thru resonators:

straight thru oval magnaflows:

rear view:

Magnaflow tips:

And here's what all that AND another set of resonators added behind the magnaflow mufflers to help quiet it down a little more sounds like:

I can't imagine how loud yours is if you just went straight pipe all the way back to that little muffler.

It's a VERY mellow yet mean sound at WOT. (Yes, that was a WOT run.) That's the point of my last post. Straight pipe with no cats sounds like crap imo.

Pulley is light weight and underdriven so less loss due to inertia and parasitic losses to accessories as they turn slightly slower.

None of the above. It's an eBay pulley! hehe I got the crank pulley only.

He was a great guy to deal with. I think it was ebay member turboracerx

The first one he sent me was slightly damaged in shipping and he quickly sent me another one. Yoda has the first one I got. You ever put that on Yoda?

Makes the engine quicker to rev and is noticable in the lower gears, well, at least for a day or two then you get used to it. lol

No, that old piping is perfectly suited for the J. It's plently big (2.25") until you are pushing serious power and there is only one person that's been on this site that was doing that and he's not on here any more. (Twin turbos)

You might actaully be losing power with the 2.5" piping instead of 2.25" since you have a stock engine. (Intakes don't count for much)

O man if you were in the Q45 forum you would have been eaten alive for your terrible grammar.

O look at me I am turning in to Maxnix AKA Brian.

But seriously about those pulleys whats the difference in weight Scott?

I don't remember for sure but a bunch. The stocker felt like a lump of lead and the new one is machined aluminum and is very light.

Wow I definitely should look into it then.

Does your guy make them for Q45's, not that I doubt the time, money and craftsmanship that went into building the VH45DE, but I doubt mine is very light.

Rapman, I'm not diggin' the exhaust (too ricey for my taste), but the taillights are awesome. 9/10 for your J.

Brandon is just east of Jackson. It's pretty much right in the middle of the state. It took me 2 hours and 58 minutes to get to Mobile last week.

I need to get $2,990 for it. All stereo stuff stays if you want it, tires are almost brand new, no rust, very clean, runs great.

Either way, I'd rather someone on here buy it than some idiot that doesn't have a clue what it is or how to maintain it and is just buying it because it's cheap.

That's true buying a car from NICO is like Gods gift because there is only OEM parts and it has been taken care of meticulously, But there are still some who buy NICO cars and then neglect them. Or the few people who join NICO then go away because they don't believe in us.

Hallowed is NICO.

How much did that whole exhaust setup cost?

IT SOUNDS GREAT!

I think I may need to do that.

Do you have additional pics of the resonators after the mufflers as well?

Oh, & how many miles on your J?

Hard to say as I pieced it together little by little. If you did it all at once, it'd probably cost you about $400 - $500 total.

No other pictures but it's the exact same resonator as the ones I replaced the cats with. They are just after the Magnaflows.
J30inthe sun wrote:Oh, & how many miles on your J?
204k miles. That video was taken the day she rolled 200k.

I always thought that Nissan took their styling risks/did right on the rear and then went very conservative/conventional on the front.
