I have dropped the pan on both Js 3 times since I have owned them and never replaced the bolts I just put a little blue RTv under the heads. The manual does say to always replace bolts because they are self sealing.

Kewl Thanks Got a ton of blue RTV around.

I was a nervous nelly dropping the pan thinking I would find a ton of clutch crud in there. But there was just maybe a 1/2 teaspoon of uber fine greymatter on the magnet.RELIEF !!!!

The kit had the wrong dang gasket though

I'll pick one up from the stealership tomorrow.put the pan on with 4 bolts to keep any debris out till then.

Question.

what is the the little feeler thingie on the front passenger side inside the pan ??I thought it was the dipstick at first but it isn't.

It moves straight up and down.

Could be the fluid temp sensor-- BTW advance auto and napa have the gasket for around $7
