Hello,I am having a problem with the idle on my 1993 J30T. Over the past 4 days, the engine idles at about 800 rpm then drops to 400 then catches itself and returns to 800 then drops to 100 then stops completely. It will stall unless I keep my foot on the gas, and even then it acts as though the rpm are trying to drop. I also hear a noticible clatter from the drivers side of the engine (lifters) which also started about the same time as the idle problem. I have seen MAF discussed as a likely culprit? The car has 154,000 miles. We had disaster strike in Feb. The ignition module burned out while traveling at about 40mph, and the engine shut down completely. We also found that the drivers side CAM Sensor was partially melted. As to which caused the shutdown...we aren't sure, but it caused a major timing problem that led to a broken tensioner and 8 bent valves. All this in a town 300+ miles from an Infinity dealer. The car has new plugs, timing belt, clean injectors, new fuel pump, fuel/oil filters...the engine is immaculate after the major repair. I could definately use some help!! Thanks
