It's been a while... BUT, I do have a quick question...

I've been on hiatus traveling along the East Coast all semester as of yet and am about to move back to NY after graduation (UGA)... However, I have been deciding on something for a while, but you guys tell me what you think...

I am wondering whether or not I should sell my baby...

I want to keep her more than anything because she is the only thing that cheers me up after everything that has happened over the last few months. It would be like selling my child!

However, costs of keeping cars in the city are ridiculous and I am not exactly made of money, but I could potentially leave the car in D.C., it would just be sitting around for several months...

HELP!

thats harsh man... i wouldnt sell but i know what NY is like... thats going to take some losing some sleep of the night thinking about it... but sleeping is over rated... move to NJ ???

As much as I love my Versa and I know you love yours, ownership of a car in a large metropolis can be more of a burden than it's worth. If I lived in downtown Seattle instead of a suburb, chances are I would not own a car.

New York also has a FAR more advanced mass transit system than Seattle, which makes it even less worthwhile.

So you have to consider how much you'd lose by selling your Versa vs. how much it will cost to park, insure, and maintan the car.. and consider how much you'd actually be driving it.

If it's only going to be a short term you're there, I'd say keep it. Long term... sell her and save up for your new baby... and mods for it.
