it just wont move

ok i was given this nissan sentra and i have come to think that the transmission is broken! or the clutch is bad i am not sure! but when you let off the clutch the speedomator will go up and when you chang gears the speedomator gose up even higher but the car will not move! so that would make me think the clutch is ok and it is something in the transmission thats not letting the axles turn but i am not sure! let me know if you know whats wrong!

It's probably be best to start at the input shafts on the axles and move in from there. It could be anywhere between those and the clutch. You may have to rip apart the transmission.

Is the transmission making any noise as you rev it in gear?

no if you rev really high it dose but i am not sure if it was the motor or transmission that made the noise cuz i only did it one time on acident ha i guess before it broke down it made some noises the faster you went!
