ok, first know this, i know nothing about engine swaps, so if this sounds completely retarded, please correct me where i'm wrong or simply call me stupid. but i want to know.........
i have an AUTOMATIC TRANS 2002 Sentra SE-R. i want to swap out the QR25DE for a SR20 S14 DET engine. is that a good decision? is it even possible because of the automatic trans? please tell me.......

It'd be exceedingly difficult since the engines are mounted in different directions. By exceedingly difficult, I mean you'd have to convert your car to RWD and do a completely custom transmission.
If you want to swap in an SR20DET, use a FWD SR (Bluebird, Avenir, Pulsar GTi-R).
Do some searching in the Sentra Gen and Transverse SR sections and you'll see what swaps you could do.

Yep, use a FWD sr20, and you would need a 5 spd trans. Or just swap a six speed onto your QR? If you go with the SR you have to change the gas pedal, I know a guy parting a totaled Spec V and can get parts off it if you need stuff.

The swap itself if i remember correctly runs from 5K-6K depending.
if you dont have a Spec Manual transmission then i believe you will require a Maxima transmission and the Mounts have to be custom fabbed plus buying the engine. Then there is labor.

Looking to get $2300. All from 2006 Altima SE-R six speed that was totaled within four months of being sold new.
