Hi, I am new to this site but I have a 1959 PLG-221. The title says 1959, but the tag on inside engine bay says 1960. My dad bought it in 1964 and it has been in the family ever since. It is not running, engine and trans is in the bed. He picked up a newer 1200 engine for it but never put it in. I am interested in selling the truck but would like it to go to someone who would appreciate it. I can upload pics as soon as I figure out how.

New to this site, as well.

Own a 1961 Datsun 222. It runs but is not pretty. It was formerly a parts car for another project.

Ok, I've gone to Photobucket and still can't figure out how to "update my account" or whatever they are asking for so I can post or see pictures. Anyone know what I need to update?

Thanks

Doesn't work that way, unfortunately.

PB decided they got tired of hosting everyone's pics for free. If you have pics on there, they're not going to allow hotlinking (on a free account) because it costs them money every time someone looks at the picture you loaded.

Basically, they're holding forum owners hostage, because people think everything should be free.

A Datsun "nut" as he put it owned it and fixed it up in 1995. It has a later model B210 engine/transmission in it and more highway friendly gears in the rear end. He said it will do 70 mph all day long. He had the 1961 plg222 in case he ever wanted to go back to the original drive train.

The 221 is really straight with just a little bit of rust in the drivers side rocker. It's a really solid little truck. He seemed to remember it having the earlier grill on it when he bought it but put the later 1960 grill on it because he liked it better. It's been sitting for about 7 years after the clutch slave cylinder went out.

This seems to be a really low/early production number truck but can't find anything out for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aloha from Hawaii hctub,

I noticed in your pictures that there is an extra grill in the cab of your PLG221. I have a 1959 PLG221 but no grill. Would you be interested in selling it? Please let me know when you can.
Thanks

I'm sorry but the other grill is for the other 1960 I have. It's a PLG222 but they have the same grill. Both of these trucks will be for sale in the near future by the way.

Turbo-mag.
Al the 220-3 grilles are the same size. The design varies. The listing linked shows some 320 grilles first.
Click on the pictures to see the 223 grilles.
