for a major exhaust leak from the cross over tube to cause the knock sensor to send a code or for the acc code to light up the check engine light? I had a bad exhaust leak and when I got it on the lift I saw that the cross over tube on the left(driver's) side was broke in two. I welded it and its good now. It was blowing exhaust directly on to the engine. I was thinking that perhaps this triggered the knock sensor to send a signal that it was bad. The code was for bank one(driver's side).

it has stricktly a break of the metal crossover tube on the left exhaust manifold. It was broke two inches away from the manifold. The way it was it was directing the exhaust to the area of the left rear corner of the head. There was nothing wrong with the wiring
