Hi, I own a Nissan Versa as well as a Chevy Colorado.

I'm in financial constraint so I drive the Versa more nowadays.

I drive to work on a F250 V10 which the gas is killing me, so I liked so much the Versa that I bought another one. It is a 2008 with 16,K. It is immaculate. My question is this, the car has door sills that say VERSA, it has a wing at the back, it has Fog Lights, and the bottom skirt is painted the same as the body. Most of these stuff is for the 1.8SL right. How come this car has this but is a 1.8S. Was this car order with these options? Thanks for any info and great site. I'll be changing the cabin micro filter, that I got good instructions from this site. Great Site guys:

Edgar
Edgar, Yes the sport package here in Canada included the fog lights, spoiler, and matching coloured body skirts along with the sport bumpers, sunroof, leather steering wheel, upgraded stereo system with subwoofer in the hatch, and the mag wheels. Here is a pic of my Versa. It is the 1.8 SL Hatchback with the sport package. *NOTE: My Versa has her winter tires and rims on, so don't compare my rims to yours*

The person who owned the Versa before you could have simply installed all those items after purchasing the Versa. Lots of members here have painted the bottom side skirts, installed chrome door sills (which is what I have done), installed the spoiler, and installed aftermarket fog lights. Yours is an SL with the sport package if you have the same bumpers as me.

how do you paint the bottom side skirts so that they match the car body color exactly? do you DIY or do you go to a paint shop?

thanks:]

Hi, I just got on this site but I bought my 2009 Versa 1.6 5-speed back in Feb. of last year in Orlando, FL (USA). This is the first 4-cyl car I have driven in along time but it is working out quite well. My only upgrade so far is a radio, the stock one disc version (off ebay for $45 instead of the $200 they wanted at the dealership). Fortunately for me, I now have a great new job and hopefully some extra cash to spend on the Versa.

New owner, new to site. Bought a 2011 Versa 1.8L S HB (6 speed) on 18 Sept. 2010. Espresso is the name of the paint, one of the ladies that took my signature said she had one the same color, called it coffee bean. That's a better description.

Stock atm, very no frills (no power locks or cruise, but will probably add them both at some point). My agenda is passenger door lock (keyhole), cargo net & lid and getting the receiver hitch off my 94 Honda Civic EX and onto the Versa for my bike rack.

Currently charging my camera's battery so pics will be edited on later (and you'll have to pardon the dust, rural VA and gravel roads/driveway).

Not exactly a new versa owner, but new to the site. I bought my wife a new versa last year as a commuter car to and from work (100miles round trip). Cheaper than a new civic, and I figured a little elbow grease would make for a decent looking little gas sipper. I purchased wheels, springs, debadged, tint, and good struts. Car is a six speed and is actually pretty fun to drive while getting upper 30's mpg. Also color matched the grille and fog bezels. Found the site looking for a way to fix her door panels that are coming apart. Thanks for the info and looking forward to keeping an eye on the board and helping when I can.........Dano

Hi, I'm a new (used 2007) Versa owner, but not new to Nissan products. I had a B210 back when they were still called Datsun. I had bought it used with 70,000 miles on it, it was red, and loved it. Even though it had all those miles on it, it drove like a dream and was very dependable. Rust caught up with it, and it become to expensive to fix. God I loved that car. Since then I've had a series of other makes: Ford Escort (A terrible car, started falling a part as soon as the warranty expired), Suzuki Swift (Not a bad car, but not very well equipped), and a 2005 MB Smartcar (Very fuel efficient diesel, very small, not built for our climate, road conditions and salt. This car required a starter motor and alternator in only 46,000 Km and 4 years- both over $700) So now I have a red Versa I call Ruby, with a CVT transmission. I love it so far. She drives like a dream compared to the bouncy and erratic handling of the Smart. I'm older now and appreciate the comfortable ride. I live in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. and live with my wife in a small apartment, my 2 kids have grown up and live nearby. Both don't yet drive, even though they are both a round 30 years old. They both now have kids, so we are called upon for transport frequently. With the SMART if was difficult being a 2 seater.

Welcome! I live south of Hamilton, drive to Burlington to work, and drive to Guelph semi-frequently. London/Kitchener/Guelph sure seems to be a snow belt eh? As well as lake-effect snow
Have wife+3kids and i'm surprised how little we use the minivan now! Go Versa!
I learned to drive on a 1972Datsun1200Deluxe. I think Deluxe meant WeeBito'Chrome back then ;)
Grandpa drove that Datsun to work at National Slag in Hamilton from Toney Creek...only had 27000miles but rusted right thru! Car folded like a cheap lawn chair right at the firewall area!
Good times :chuckle:
Enjoy your Taxi/Versa ;)

Hi There

I am Paul, and my daughter is the proud owner of a 2007 Versa S (On my paper of course).

I persuaded her to pick it (she wanted a Focus) because I always liked the Renault Clio, (I would really love to have a Nissan Micra if they ever are imported here to Cali), and also because the Versa is so roomy.

I have found that I enjoy driving it as well over the last 2 years of ownership. The car is comfortable and pretty darned quick. I am now ready to enhance the Versa a bit. I am hoping to learn a lot from all of your experiences since I come from the days of Z-28's, glass Packs, and Radial TAs.

Thanks
PAUL

Welcome to the forums Paul, should be interesting to see how a muscle car lover is going to modify a versa. I would like to chop the roof on the versa, but i don't have money to waste. Good luck and keeps us updated

Hello all,

My name is Mark. I'm a 50 year old, first time Nissan owner. I just bought a new 2010 Versa Hatchback 1.8 SL. I commute about 34 miles a day. The Versa is replacing a Saturn LW200 which has been a pain in my rear the last two years. I chose the Versa due to it being so similiar to my wife's Vibe in looks and versatility. She'll eventually inherit this Versa. The Versa is one of the few small cars I'm comfortable in. I'm 6'6', 250 lbs. and have no trouble fitting in it.

I'm catching a lot of crap from my nephew for buying a "chick" car as he calls it.
I also own a '99 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Coupe. I take that out of the garage on the weekends to re-assert my manhood....

Oooops, gotta go, I hear my wife calling. Coming dear !!!!

Mann3 - Well, the first thing I plan to do is de-badge everything, including removal of the Hello Kitty decals :-0

Force78 - I still have a couple of years on you. Should be interesting for these young guys to see how we "old school" it!

Nice Versa man. Why did you tint the carbon fiber vinyl? It looks good just wondering what made you decide to do it. lol.

I ordered the silver carbon fiber from the States but when I got it, I was not 100% satisfied with the real color because it was too white.
I tinted the tail lights (but removed them after I got a ticket from the police 2 weeks later) and used the left over to tint the console so that it is darker and glossy.

Hi all,

I just became a member of the Versa family. Just got myself a new 2011 Versa S last night. Red Alert color as you might imagine ^ and 6-speed M/T. So far I am happy with the purchase. I used to own an 06 Sentra and decided to switch it up a bit. I've never driven a M/T before but decided to go in that direction cause i've heard so much about how fun it is to drive it, so far it has been. The other obious reason is a better sticker price  I have plans for it but that will be in a near future. I will post some pictures as soon as I can. Looking forward to enjoing this car :yesnod

The car came off the truck on Friday afternoon & we bought it Saturday morning which is about as fresh as you can get!

This has Auto, Air, Tilt, Cruise, ABS package, AM/FM CD stereo, Optional rear spoiler, 15" wheels. Cruise Control, Power package, Splash Guards, 5-piece floor/trunk mats. So far I like it & am glad that I got the 1.8 engine instead of the 1.6, the extra power is nice. P.S. - I like the color also!
