interior light help

Light didn't work when i bought the truck. Checked the fuse & its good. Went to parts store and they let me use there tester and got no power at the bulb. I replaced the whole switch/bulb assembly deal and still nothing. Not the best with elec. stuff. A relay somewhere? Advanced thank yous for your help.

Check the door switches for damage. Also check the lighting thumbwheel, maybe one of its wires are disconnected or damaged?

Poked around in that link for 10 15 min found pathfinder dimmer &temp stuff. My d21 xe not fancy like that. With truck on & door open got nothing. Don't think its door buttons. Where can i find the lighting thumbwheel before i go chasing individual wires?

I'm guessing he is referring to the dash illumination dimmer. Driver's side lower dash, left of steering wheel.

Check your fuses. There are not that many of them so it wont take long. If they are ok I would get the test light back out and start probing the wire till you find power.
