Those wheels are in a category where I would love to look at them, but probably wouldn't want to own them (like chameleon/color-changing paint). Love it or hate it, this is someone's personal vision, manifested. But an NA SOHC in an S14? That's madness!
it is rhd, look at the booster.

The only reason there is a KA in there was so it could be driven to Golden Gardens for the annual Meet.

I would hate on that car if I was rolling on teardrops as well, i would prob hate on everything.
welcome to Nico.

how are you related to the car?

I probably drop craps that weigh more thasn that. ANything not noticable is silly to argue about tho. And what is this AC nonsence about? Its the same weight for either car

Did I mention I own a CA18DET?
ca18detgabby wrote:why? I ask why everyone band wagons the SR..... solid bottom end, simple tuning, plenty of potential, and no need for a ton of support mods to make it reliable. fuel, cooling, timing, and induction.... go.
I don't bandwagon anything, don't really hate/like the SR anyway. I prefer bigger motors though for racing, smaller motors for around town since they are loads easier to work on.
ca18detgabby wrote:as for auto-x...... didnt you just say high revs dont matter?
Don't put words into my mouth, I never said they don't matter. However more power sooner is always better than waiting to load up your flywheel or boost up...
ca18detgabby wrote:PS guttless till 3500RPMs........... I make plenty of power at 2500rpms and how much time do you spend under 3500RPMs anyway?
OH wait till you upgrade your turbo, you'll know what I mean.

BTW, did I mention I like the CA? I'm really not hating on it.

Ah, good point. I wasn't sure if it was factory RHD or a mod job. Call me convinced.

Maybe he was just browsing since 04 and soaking in all the info, all our bass are belong to him. I mean, hell I joined in 05 and barely started posting till 07 and 08.

And on the topic of this car, I'm assuming it was just a silvia shell and in order to drive/move it around, a quick ka-e swap suited it. It was probably temporary until a more...JDM motor could be put into it. With the money invested into the rest of the car, I'd say it was probably heading into RB territory for a final engine choice. And damn adrian, you're right, those wheels alone cost about the same as my car, but the wheels + tires..well def cost more. You gotta think tho, many cars on this forum have received mods that cost more than the car on multiple occasions. I loved telling people that my deck cost more than my car, if found it humorous myself....then it got stolen LoL!!! No longer am I a stupid 17 year old with no alarm system and a 2k deck. After that incident I gutted the f*** outa the car and it's bare bones now lol.

I know the owner of the car as he is a member of northwestnissans. The car orig had an RB26 included with it.

The car looks pretty good in person.

I'm not vouching for it or anything, I just happened to know the deal in relation to this car.

And like I said the only reason a KAE is in that car is so that it can move under it's own power. I only bothered to reply due to all the dumbass intraweb fun going on in this thread. I honestly can't even remember how it came to my attention.

Lastly, yes I joined in 04. LOL, I never realized that I had never posted. I prob joined to search for something.

carry on.

if it had an rb why did it need an sohc to move under its own power? i woudl imagine an rb would move it just fine

Boy, That sure is a GREAT idea how they cut apart the core support.

What a half assed car.

I am still wondering if it has air cylinder suspension? do you know? and as for the radiator support being cut, if it had an rb in it, it wouldn't be the smartest thing to do, but it does make more sense. seen a few cars in s/street with cut radiator supports, although they usually add something to tie it back together.

I'm willing to bet the modification was for a vmount.

I don't know what motor was in it, it was orig for sale with an RB un installed.
