I have been contacting a lot of companies to try and see if they would make parts for our cars. So i just got an email back from 5Zigen and they offered to make an exhaust system for our cars. Here is the exact email they have sent me

"Thank you for your inquiry.

We have no plan to develop products (mainly exhaust systems) for Altima because of low demand.

It is possible to make the system for you as your exclusive exhaust system with minimum lot of 20 sets each time.

The typical price of our dual muffler full stainless after-cat system is around $1500.00 ~ $2000.00 (MSRP).$800.00 ~ 1000.00 for axle-back muffler systems.

Of cause, all 5ZIGEN wheels come with size for Altima. We have some universal products like, lug nuts, oil catch tanks and racing gloves.

Hoping you could inform about these 5ZIGEN products in the forums.

Best regards,

Tsuyoshi Inoue, Sales Manager5ZIGEN USA, INC.17022 S. Montanero Ave. #2Carson, CA 90746http://www.5zigenusa.com/main.htmlhttp://d.hat ... ZIGEN-USA/"

I asked him some questions so don't be afraid to contact them to see whats up.

Unless these exhausts give 50 HP you are freaken "crazy"

But seriously, is there a reason you are talking with them? Are you trying to get them to make other things besides this. IMHO there are more than enough different brands of exhausts available already.

i know, i wanted to put up an interest thread just to see what everyone has to say.

5Zigen is a very reputable company and they said to try and put up what they said to get some interest so I did.

Maybe it won't be as much as they say A lot of the cars they deal with are more sportier cars then our Altimas so maybe it'll be lower, hopefully.

but i put up this thread because they asked me to to try and see how much people are interested.

got another email from them

"I am sorry, but I am not familiar with Altima.

It most provably be same price if the 4 cyl. has dual muffler system.

It could be the best if same system fits both I4 and V6.

Of cause you can make single for less price and better performance.

But I guess not many people wants single, if the car comes with dual muffler.

The price is depending on the spec (material, tip style, etc.) you want.

Could you ask people, how much will they pay, if 5ZIGEN makes Border-S axle-back mufflers for Altima?

This is the tip design. Mufflers will be traditional barrel type."

ok i just got another email from them and they said they want to know what we are willing to pay for a full stainless steel cat-back exhaust.

this is what he said.

"Thank you for your information.

Yes, I think it is too expensive.

It is too high for most of 350Z owners, too.

But, we still make the mufflers in our factory in Osaka, Japan.

It might be difficult to match the price with full stainless.

Anyway, could ask people how much they are willing to pay 5ZIGEN full stainless dual muffler cat-backs?

Let’s see how it goes."

alright good we got a response lol, people respond to what you want the price to be because 5zigen might be able to adjust it to the way we want it.

Low ballin is the only way to go

But seriously the stillen exhaust is 688-775 dollars. Id say somewhere in that range would be reasonable.

I really like how the Greddy Spectrum SE Elite looks and I do like how the 5zigen exhaust look on that 370z.

If it is under $1000 shipped I can go with that. So far I got quoted for the SE for $999 Shipped. If they can beat that price I am down for it.

im sure if we can get up to 20 people they will probably make it lower, but we have to get 20 people.

another thing is though it has to be 20 people with the same model car, for example, a 2.5/3.5 sedan or a 2.5/3.5 coupe. you know

hopefully a rep will come on here and talk to us soon about what they have in store for us!

thanks for giving us a hand Jose, the thing is that kills our market is that since there are 4 different altimas, there are 4 different exhausts which make it harder for us to get companies to make exhausts for us.

so if you guys email them about having an exhaust made for the altima (coupe/sedan) im sure there will see that we are taking interest in wanting something made.

so start emailing them and let them know that we are in the market for an exhaust priced between 700-1000 and maybe if we have enough people they can knock the price down more!!!

we got to start somewhere

Well put it this way this way go on greddy.com and look at how there SE cost hahaha NO ONE IS GOING TO pay $$1200 I don't even think anyone on this forum has the SE exhaust.(maybe 1)

so i would stay under $1000 with shipping

i know no one is going to pay the amount first intended, but they said that if there is enough demand they will bring down the price so we are all happy, so there just has to be the demand for it and it seems like there isn't because people have the exhaust already or think they will be paying the 1200-1500

just remember if there is enough demand, the price will be a lot lower!!!

Well, for the coupe 2.5 and 3.5 they can release one version with an adapter to fit both.

The GReddy SE comes with an adapter so that it can fit either the 2.5 or 3.5.

or they could make an axle back that would work for both 3.5 and 2.5 coupes..... so that it would fit more buyers and the production costs would be lower for a larger maket of cars...
