intercooler install?

hey i just bought a cheap intercooler and piping kit but its made for sr20. I just did the motor swap and im wondering if anyone has any pointers?. looks like i have to make a hole somewhere for the intake pipe to come from the front mount intercooler up thru the bumper somewhere...Lemme know any advice/pics will help. thanks!

Yeah line up excactly where you want the pipe to go and cut it like 1/2 bigger than the pipe on the driver side by your relay box. I used universal door trim to clean up the jagged metal and to prevent the couplers from being cut. You will have to do the same thing on the other side which is a pain. Because of the battery tray. Also it takes some finagling to squish the battery in there and at the same time work around youur washer fluid resaviour. I would highly rec taking. Your time and make sure the pipe does not rest against anything. The cheap kits piping can easy get holes rubbed through them.not to flame but you get what you pay for. I've been down that road.

aryte thanks for the info. No worries i already know where cheap parts get ya lol. My KA motor blew and its my only car so i needed something quick and cheap just to make work and deff planning on getting upgraded parts later. I heard that theres a car battery that is the size of a motorcycle battery and helps for relocating...any clue what its called or where?

I just bought a 240. The guy put the battery in the trunk. He had to get a hose to vent the hydrogen out of the car, but it made plenty of room under the hood. I think he got the parts from a Saturn. Probably some kind of Redline. Just an idea.... Maybe look into it.

yea i ended up usin the cheap ebay kit and it worked out alryte, im gna upgrade n get a decent one later cuz i had to cut mine and its not the cleanest but look okay. i also gotta dyna-batt battery which is like the size of a motorcycle battery n just got it snug in front of my intake piping pretty much where the old battery was..
