After reading the forum about intakes and HIDS. You have convinced me to buy.

I have a 2008 Altima Coupe 2.5s M/T.

I want an Injen intake and 5000k HIDS. Does someone have the part #'s and where I should buy them?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Nico!

Currently, the intake for the 2008 Altima 2.5 Manual is still being developed, because there were some mounting issues with it.

As for HIDs, you can search around eBay and find a kit for around $90 shipped. I am also ordering 5000K.

Thanks for the quick reply. Should I get the H11 and H9 for the high and low beams as well? What do you recommend?

I don't think you need HIDs for high beams. Just get the H11 for low beams.

Welcome!

I installed McCulluch 6000k HIDs last week. Spend $260.00 for the kit. So far I am happy with them. Tonight is actually the first night I've used my new HIDs and they are SICK!!! I purposely drove on some county two-way roads----nobody flashed their highs at me, so thats good!

H11 is what you need. I wouldn't change your high beams.

I have some picks of my installation about a page back or so.

I don't have an intake, but I believe you are restricted on what you can choose from because you have a manual.

Mike, how blueish are the 6000k lights? I want something that's pure white with a nice hint of blue. Not those obnoxious lights that are pure blue and blinding not to mention ugly.

I think they are a nice mix of Bluish-white. They ARE bright! Its hard to describe. Its like a little ray of sunshine on the road in front of you. I felt like Ned Flanders.

Here a couple of new and old pics:zerothread/298084

Too many choices to pick from on the HID's. Is this seller's product any good?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

about 85.00 shipped. I've seen McColluch's for 250. Whats the difference??

Hard to say what the difference would be. I paid $260; so I'd like to think that you get what you pay for. Did I pay too much?? Only time will tell---only had em installed for about 2 weeks.

I personally didn't go the ebay route because I'm skeptical of most sellers there. I believe they are generic HIDs because there is no name on the ballast. They also don't provide you with the name of the manufacturer. I only briefly browsed the page, so I might have missed something.

25% restocking fee for all returns--sux

Returns for only uninstalled and unused products??? WTF how can you tell if they work if you don't use or install them?

1 year warranty is nice, but their wording sounds restrictive.

I also don't like companies or sellers that have an entire "BEWARE" section, trying to scare you into buying their product.

Anyhoo, just my opinion.

Okay, instead of starting a new intake thread I figured I'd just bump up an older one. So, to share, I just finished installing the Injen intake and it's friggin' SWEET! The best part was when I finished and my car actually started!! I was as surprised as I was pleased! As far as the mounting issues, I've got the CVT so I don't know about the M/T. Sorry Coupe-er!

Thanks, Sam
8000K = bluish/ purplish white... less light output, higher chance of getting a ticket... still not sure why folks go with anything over 5000K, but to each his own... but getting LESS light output just doesn't seem logical to me!

Go with 5000K... just my .02
